Q: Has this product changed? I ordered what’s pictured, but it arrived with “new” printed on the box and no longer says “Glide threader floss” just “threader floss.” It’s also made of cotton like fibers that look like they’ll snag on my wire! Very annoying!

A: Exactly what I found. Wish I would’ve read this before I purchased. The packaging is nice with a colored threader on each end and multiple contained in each envelope. But the floss itself snags and makes fingernails on chalkboard sounds and feels terrible between my teeth.

I used the original for years because it’s the only thing that worked around my implants without snagging and shredding. This stuff is a nightmare. It got caught and I had to use tweezers to get it out more than once. And I swear some got stuck and I ended up with soreness until it worked its way out. IMO it is not a safe product.

It had higher ratings for the PREVIOUS style of flossing but they have changed it sometime in August 2024. Now the new flossing is completely useless. There are no good reviews since August 20th…therefore, it tack the version onto the previous ratings are MISLEADING! Shame on you Oral B.

Like most of the other 1-star reviews, I thought I was buying their old threader floss. This new version breaks off in my teeth half the time. I really don't love having to use floss to get chunks of this floss out of my teeth. :(

Absolutely horrible. Broke off and got stuck in my permanent retainer. Spent many painful hours trying to get it out. If i could give this product ZERO stars I would. I think I’d rather have cavities. This is not a reflection of target.

I would give this a zero, but that is not an option. OralB has replaced the older Glide threader floss with this and it is horrible. I have floss stuck in between my teeth because it shredded. Don’t buy. This is not a reflection on Target.

Out of curiosity, I scanned through your reviews. The only positive reviews were posted prior to the “improved” version. All other reviews were negative. Don’t you think it is time to accept the fact that it was a huge mistake. I have been forced to go back to the blue GUM threaders.

I am so disappointed in the change of this product. The threader is very flimsy, it is hard to navigate through bridges. And the soft, cloth like thread catches and rips. I am in search of something comparable to your previous threader floss. I can only imagine the frustration with braces.

I don't understand why they changed the material of the thread. The other one was perfect, it would glide between the teeth perfectly. This new "clothy" thread is horrible. It got stuck in my retainer and I had to use some tweezers to be able to grab the very thin thread that was stuck. Plus it doesn't glide well between the teeth it was hard to floss. I'll probably have to find another brand with a better product because this isn't working for me.

This is AWFUL. I purchased it thinking it was the previous version, which I loved. I have tight contacts and a braided retainer so the new cuushioned floss, read fluffy, shredded and I had to use tweezers to remove. Also I could barely get the stiff end through. DO NOT buy if you are expecting glide like floss with a stiff end.

This is the worst replacement of a product I have ever used. The Glide Pro Health floss was amazing and perfect for my bridges. The threader was small enough to get under my bridge and the floss was perfect for flossing the rest of my teeth. There is no need for 2 threaders and the "floss" is terrible- it shreds and does not glide at all. Absolutely aweful product!

It's gets stuck in my bottom retainer The former floss that is the glide threader floss was so much better and used it for at least 20 years since ive had my retainer from my braces. It never got stuck. I can't find that kind anymore in stores. Only this one. PLEASE make the other kind again!!! Get rid of this trash.

This is the worst product. Do not purchase. It shreds and get stuck in one’s teeth. I think it’s literally is dangerous because it can get stuck and then cause swelling and pain. They took a great product for people with implants and absolutely ruined it. It’s totally useless.

This floss got stuck on the dental work on the back of one of my front teeth. I had to use scissors and tweezers to get the cottony thread off of my tooth. Unfortunately I couldn't get it all so I'm making a dentist appointment to have it removed. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY, THIS FLOSS IS NO GOOD!!!

I'm so disgusted by the new floss Oral-B is trying to pass off as its previous product that in reality was discontinued. I did some investigating and it turns out one of the ingredients necassary to produce this and other similar products, was banned by the American Dental Association as they claim it poses health risks. Oral-B can no longer produce the floss everyone loved so much but rather than being transparent with with their customers they instead decided to try to trick everyone in to purchasing inferior garbage at the same cost. I wouldn't floss my dog's teeth with the Easter grass they're peddling. I called P&G who owns Oral-B and requested my money back and I encourage others to do the same. Get this crap off the market Oral-B.

These used to be great before they changed them. now they are the thick braided floss type that get stuck between your teeth. these are the worst now. will not buy again unless they bring the old ones back.

Another product that did not consider the end user. The threaders are poorly packaged, they shred easily and are basically worthless in their ability to floss under dental bridges.
