Save your money--terrible battery life and Oura customer service
I am a neurologist and sleep doctor and am always curious about wearables and the reinforcement they can provide when people are trying to make changes to their health. Of course I had to try the newest generation Oura ring, and at first it was pretty good. I’ll be honest that it doesn’t really tell me anything I don’t already know if I just am paying attention to my body and schedule. It was nice looking and comfortable. After about two months of regular use, the battery life took a nose dive and honestly I just stopped wearing it because it was pointless. As others have said, dealing with Oura was a joke. Save your money and buy a nice cooling mattress topper, good pillow or new set of high thread count cotton sheets—you will benefit your sleep and health more than you would by purchasing this ring.

Behind the glossy wellness marketing are massive investment groups with a deep interest in harvesting biometric data, not “helping you sleep.” This ring tracks everything about your body, 24/7, and once that data leaves your hands, it’s gone for good. You don’t know who ends up with it or how it’ll be used down the line. A small discount isn’t worth handing over your heartbeat, temperature, and stress patterns to a data machine. Keep your money — and your privacy.

Loved until battery died
Was great until the battery totally took a crap. Bought in February and was so excited! Loved everything about it, all the data it was great. The battery would last about 7 days, now in late November the battery barely lasts one day. Highly disappointed in the fall apart.

Loved it until I didn't... it was amazing a first and I used to rave about it to everyone. I purchased the gold ring for full price of about $500 almost a year ago and it used to hold a charge for about 7 days, now 11 months later it barely lasts 3 days. Like others have mentioned, if you contact oura it's just a bot and it tells me it's normal and charging fine which is a total lie. They probably used a cheaper battery on the Gen 4 rings which is highly disappointing. If you purchase this, prepare yourself to only have it work for 1 year tops.

Awful packaging by target
The actual item is really good however I’m extremely disappointed with how it was packaged it is very clear that it was through target’s packaging because the FedEx delivery driver handled it with care. The tape on the package was opened like it wasn’t sealed. It was expensive and poorly package. The pictures shows exactly how it was delivered.

I rarely write reviews but I’m just so devastated and disappointed in this product. I was truly enjoying my ring, until one day it just stopped syncing and tracking! It only lasted 8 months! I contacted Oura and they were not helpful. It’s basically an AI bot “attempting” to help you find a solution. I provided my email address for contact, it’s been over a month and nothing. Please save your money and stick to your preferred smart watch instead.

Device lasted less than one year with moderate use. Battery life diminished and would not sync properly with iPhone. Monthly fee is almost $6 which is ridiculous. Very disappointing. I would never recommend this expensive product to anyone.

Downside is the battery life is useless. After owing it for 9 months. It is barely holding a charge. Company does not cover battery issues.

Do Not Buy!
I had the Oura 3 for three years & loved it. Upgraded to Oura 4 when my 3 was t holding a charge for more than a day. Bought it directly from Oura this May 2025 & loved it at first. It held a charge for eight days. The last few weeks it needed charging every four days & gets worse by the day. Company said it's normal and will not replace or refund. No contact phone number either. You will have to speak with bots. Don't bother.
