Q: 10 minutes is a very long time... Not being able to see a current O2 sat reading defeats the purpose of the sock for majority of your potential customers. Is there any way to change this setting?

A: Thank you for your question about Dream Sock's Oxygen feature. Please note that the Owlet DreamSock is not the Owlet Smart Sock 3, our previous sock monitoring product (which we no longer sell in the US). Below please find more details on differences between these products. Is this the same as Smart Sock? No - The Smart Sock had features notifying users based on heart rate and oxygen level readings that fall outside of preset values. The Dream Sock does not send notifications based on heart rate or oxygen level leaving preset zones. Rather, the Dream Sock is a sleep solution that uses a variety of Sleep Quality Indicators such as movement, heart rate, oxygen level, wakings, etc. to determine your child’s sleep state and sleep quality and prompt you if your child is uncomfortable or needs your assistance to sleep more soundly. Does the Dream Sock notify you if oxygen level leaves preset ranges? Will this notify me if the oxygen level of my child drops? No - The Dream Sock is a sleep solution that monitors your child’s sleep state and sleep quality by tracking sleep indicators such as oxygen level. However, Dream Sock does not send notifications based on oxygen level readings leaving preset zones. Dream Sock may send a “sleep assist” notification if Baby is uncomfortable or needs assistance to sleep more soundly based on multiple inputs, one of which may be oxygen level. Does this show live/real time oxygen? Why is oxygen displayed in 10-minute averages? No - the oxygen level displayed is an average of Baby’s readings from the last ten minutes and refreshes every 10 minutes. The Dream App displays a 10-minute historical average to align with the frequency of when our sleep state algorithm updates our sleep state charts. A: Thanks for reaching out! Yes. The Dream Sock automatically tracks your child’s sleep session. This includes awake time, lightly sleeping / restful, and deep sleep. We calculate this using two main points of data: movement and heart rate. Heart Rate is indicated as beats per minute (BPM). Baby’s heart rates are naturally much faster than adults. When the Dream Sock is correctly in place, you see Tracking so you know oxygen level is being collected and calculated as the historical average. After 10 minutes of tracking, the Dream App displays the average oxygen level, which is listed in the app as Avg O2 (10 min). The average oxygen level displayed in the Dream App updates every 10 minutes to show the prior 10-minute historical average oxygen level.

This sock is not worth the price you pay. The app is constantly not working correct. It doesn’t properly display the sleep history, all I can see if his sleep quality. Who wants to pay $300 to know if their baby moved at night. Once in a great while it works right and I see the history correct but usually only once a week, if that. When I reach out they say it will be fixed in the update and it never is. Try a different device.

I love how it gives me a peace of mind when my child has the owlet sock on. It’s also awesome at planning when the next nap should be. It has been spot on when it says her next sleep window. What I dislike is sometimes it leaves a mark on the foot & how I can’t go back & look at past HR & O2 sats. All in all, I’d recommend this product!

The owlet is really a peace of mind. It does alert you if either oxygen or heart rate drop, it doesn’t specify which one tho. It will alarm on the monitor and blink lavender. If that happens you can open the app and see if heart rate is too high or low or if oxygen has dropped. Dealing with post partum anxiety, this has truly eased my mind a lot. If sock is placed on foot correctly and isn’t loose , you shouldn’t have a problem with any placement issues either. I definitely went back and forth with the owlet and other baby monitors and decided that this gave me more readings that I wanted in a wearable monitor. Worth every cent in my opinion!

My baby had a birth defect that would cause him to choke in certain positions. The owlet dream sock was a HUGE relief for my anxiety. Being able to monitor his oxygen levels and heart rate while he slept was a God's send. The sock had different sizes to adjust with him while he grows. The app is easy to use and records all the data so you can look back on how your baby has slept and their O2/heart rate. This is a GREAT product! If you have any doubts, Don't! I sleep much better knowing my baby is being constantly monitored!

After using the older generation sleep sock for my first child, I bought this updated version for my newborn last year, and I was not disappointed. Nothing else gives me peace of mind like this device does. This product is definitely worth the purchase If you want peace of mind while your baby is sleeping. We have used this product every night since the baby has been home (6mo) and have had minimal issues. The only issues we had is with connectivity and it has been corrected easily but is why I gave 4 stars instead of 5. I love that the sock is made of a nice soft material and comes with different sizes to grow with your child. We have also traveled with the sock and the ease of setup is an added bonus knowing we can take it anywhere with us! I will definitely purchase owlet products for future babies after owning the dream sock! This review reflects my experience with and opinion of this product as an actual customer. I bought this after my daughter got sick first time in her life when she was 9 months old. I couldn’t sleep because I was too worried about her breathing. The product gave me the heart rate and oxygen levels which is really good. But sometimes during the night the sock slipped off and the app will alarm, when I try to not wake her up and has to completely reset it. It took too long to just turn it off and turn the sock light off. I wish they can just one button on and off. Also the app history, I would like to see some trending or graphic about my baby’s heart rate and oxygen. More visual graphic~~ but overall it is a good to know my baby’s oxygen levels .
Everyone can rest easy with Owlet on guard.

Many of the products Owlet offers are absolutely ones you should not go without. They offer fantastic peace of mind for first (or in our case, fourth) time parents. The Dream Sock is certainly no exception. In our night to night use it gives us peace of mind that our son is doing well, and sleeping well. It is a very big relief for my wife's anxiety in relation to our sons wellbeing. Not only that, but the app is great for tracking and recording how long he sleeps and the quality of his sleep. So this not only allows us to see how he is doing at any one time...the recorded data allows us to spot trends in how and when he is sleeping. We have had some issues with the app being a little finnicky at times, Owlet has been able to resolve my issues though. Even when the app went a little wonky, the base station was still rock solid and kept alerting us as needed. So be confident even if the app gets a little weird, or your internet goes down...you can trust that the Dream Sock still has your back.

Before investing in our Owlet, I slept terrible at night worrying about SIDS. I cannot tell you how many times I got up to feel our son's check to make sure he was breathing (even thought he was in a bassinet right by our bed). While I know the Owlet isn't FDA approved nor is it guaranteed to prevent SIDS, it gave this mama peace of mind to sleep at night. Now when I want to check on my little man I open the app and confirm he is breathing. I can also vouch that it works when alerting you the device does not detect a heartbeat--our son has kicked his off a few times and the device instantly alerted us. However, this doesn't happen often and typically only occurs if we don't put the sock on well enough before putting him to bed.

My baby was born premature which is why I bought this product in the first place because I wanted extra monitoring when we got home but it became so much more. Recently my 9 month old got sick and on that night for the first time ever the owlet alerted us to assist our baby. And when I got to the crib he has stopped breathing and without this sock I wouldn’t have known and I was able to get him to the hospital and walk away 5 days later with my son.

We bought the owlet dream sock after our son experienced some seizures. He has down syndrome and his oxygen dips when he is sleeping. The Owlet helps us monitor closely when he isn't feeling well. One time his oxygen was dipping and we took him to the ER. He was on day 1 of RSV and going in early helped him recover and it not turn into pneumonia. My baby is 6 months old and has been a belly sleeper since she was just 5 weeks, and each time my boyfriend or I would flip her over she would wake up and it would ruin her rest. It felt like a vicious, endless cycle. The sock provided the reassurance I needed to let my baby sleep however she felt comfortable, and now at 6 months old my baby is sleeping through the night! The two things that could use improvement are how easily the sock falls off (I usually just slip a normal sock over the owlet sock) and the level of Wi-Fi connectivity could be stronger. I love my owlet monitor/dream sock. The sock is so easy to put on and it provides me with my baby’s heart rate which makes me sleep a bit better at night. The application sometimes takes a bit long to load but you can just exit and access the app again.
