Wash anything from lettuce to grapes with this Little Salad and Herb Spinner from OXO. This small lettuce spinner takes the basic salad spinner structure and adds several functions for easy use. A pumping knob at the top of the spinner makes it easier than ever to spin, while a brake button helps you stop spinning as soon as you're ready. A no-slip ring at the bottom of the bowl provides stability, and the pumping knob locks into the bowl for easy storage. Was worried about cleaning the lid based on previous reviews, but there's plenty of airflow space and I don't see why it would need to be disassembled. This is a perfect size for me as I live alone. I tends to buy packaged prewashed greens, but this thing has been doing daily washes of single servings of an Asian spinach from the farmer's market the size of my torso, so I think it'll save me money and reduce the amount of packaging in my trash.

I’ve been using this a spinner a couple of months and it does a great job removing water. I’d been using a different brand’s larger hand crank model and this Oxo is definitely an upgrade. The push knob is much easier on my hands and the compact size is handy and convenient. The exterior bowl has a non-skid bottom and the spinning mechanism has a brake button. Cleanup is easy. If I am hand washing, the basket has no sponge shredding parts like my other did. If using the dishwasher, the pieces are easy to fit n the top rack. I rated this 4 instead of 5 stars because I was told during a text chat with an Oxo rep that the parts of the lid do not separate (voids warranty) and that none of the pieces should go through the dishwasher’s heated dry/sanitize cycle, which I like to use. Because I am concerned that mold might be possible inside the spinner mechanism that I can’t see the inside of, I leave the lid on the drying rack for a day after hand drying it. Having said that, I am still very happy with it. It’s also easy to store not only because of the smaller size, but because the knob pushes down and locks so it’s not sticking up.

You are limited to how much you can put into this already small spinner due to the spinning mechanism that occupies space inside the spinner. It is frustrating to use because the plunger does not always work right away.

Great size for a salad for 1-2 people. Yes, your salad will still be slightly wet, but I think it's silly to expect lettuce to come out 100% dry. The construction of the product is sturdy. The moving parts on the lid make it somewhat tricky to clean. I would recommend this item.
