A: This styling gel works well for what you're looking for, however, it does just come down to preference. Another great collection we'd recommend for holding your style in place from AM to PM is our Curl Affair Curl (Re)Shaping Cream. Our Curl Defining Mousse is also another great choice as well.

Also, hair can look frizzy or dry if it is not conditioned enough so it would be more beneficial to use the conditioner before applying the styling product. We suggest you use more conditioner on the ends of your hair, which does not get enough of the natural oils from your scalp or try using a leave-in conditioner instead of one you rinse out. Makes my curls disappear, I wanted to try something new but after using this for about 2 weeks I’ve realized it just isn’t good. It makes my hair stringy and ruins my curls. My hair will be curly when I get out the shower but when I use this gel, my hair doesn’t curl like normal

It provides the best curl definition I’ve ever seen on my hair, and it makes my curls last for so long (at least three days). However, it dries my hair out, so I’ve stopped using it. It’s unfortunate.

I have thick south asian 3a/3b/3c curl patterns, and I find this gel holds really well and (at least relative to other products) protects against frizz in the intense summer humidity without being too stiff. It's one of the few gels without glycerin, and given I live in such a humid area I can't use products with humectants. I do use a curl cream underneath for definition and some jojoba oil to seal in moisture.

Wow. Just wow. I have wavy/curly-ish hair and this product is AMAZING. I wish I would've known about it sooner. I've tried literally every product out there. They usually leave my hair wet looking and crunchy.... lol there is NO crunch. My hair is soft. My waves are defined and I have zero frizz and my second day hair is waaaayyy less frizzy. Must buy. I don't usually write reviews unless the product was REALLY good or REALLY bad .

I used to use the old version of Pantene mousse. It was the best! Left my hair soft and curls well controlled, not frizzy. I tried this gel because I do not like the new version of Pantene mousse. This gel is horrible. My hair looks good for maybe an hour, then turns into a frizzy mess with any humidity. Also dried my hair out very badly. I recently tried Aussie curl mousse and love it. It’s more like what Pantene mousse used to be. Pantene has ruined a great product line.

Before Pantene changed the formulation of this gel (when it came in the red bottle), it was my go-to for my course, high porosity, 2a/3c hair. It had the strong hold I needed to freeze my curls while air drying, and then releasing the crunch when dry. It took me a while to find an adequate replacement. The New formula left my hair feeling tacky, dried out, and without much hold.

I’ve been using the stuff for years and it works really well if you want your curls to be big and bouncy. But it is very sticky unless you dry your hair with a hair dryer and diffuser
