Sharpie Permanent Marker Chisel Tip Black: Bold Point, Quick Drying, Water-Resistant, Durable Tip, Stationery & Office Use

This has nothing to do with the product itself, but the fact that this was substituted for another form of Sharpie. I ordered a variety pack of Sharpies, primarily for clothing labels. This marker proves to be useless for the task I needed it for.

I ordered this online without ever having seen one in real life, so you can probably imagine I was a bit shocked when I picked up my order at how much larger the marker was than I expected. I originally wanted to use it for writing which was difficult, but it's perfect for blacking out prescription bottle labels and addresses on shipping boxes in a couple quick swipes. The cap does fall off if you don't make sure it's snapped on all the way, but it's as simple as listening for and feeling the click. I will definitely be buying this again.

I ordered this thinking it was an Assembled in U.S.A. product. That's what's printed on the back of the shown package on the Web site. It's actually made in Mexico. Also the description on the Web site says it has an aluminum body. The body is made from plastic.

Absolute worst marker ever, if you intend on drawing a straight line or even want to know where the tip is going to land don’t get this pen. Who even came up with this horrendous design, they should be fired.

I'm sure it's probably a very good marker if you are ever able to get the top off of it. I have tried pulling it off to the point of my hands turning red and raw. I've resorted to trying to get the cap off with the help of pliers, wrenches, rubber mat jar openers, screwdrivers (to try to pry it off) and the cap will not come off. If there's a secret to how to do it, they don't tell you what it is on the packaging. Maybe someone at the factory thought it would be funny to super-glue the top on (?).

Too thick. I decided to get a thinner one

The marker quality is great for large signs, but -5 stars for cap design. Barely touch the cap and it’ll pop off, marking your hands, and just about any surface in the area. I had to use rubber bands to keep it in place.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like these sharpies. The are easy to grip because they are big. And the fact that you have a big bold tip is great. You can also write smaller with it. I received this product free for a honest and unbiased review.

The best way to mask addresses on mail boxes and reuse them or hide sensitive info before you trash them. But I thought it ran out a little faster.

Great Product, Huge Marker, Great price

I ordered This for Pickup So I Had No Idea It Was So Big But I Love It. I Like To Reuse All The Packaging I Can When I Ship Out My Orders And This Is PERFECT for crossing out old labels. I Can Cross Out The Entire Label So Easy! With Regular Sized Markers I Would Only Block Out The Parts I Needed Since it Took So Much Work. This Is MUCH easier.

It took a fare amount of work to find a Target store that had the product in stock.

Great tool for blocking out labels on boxes so you can reuse a box for shipping.

I bought two chisel-tip Sharpies four years ago. The first one I used for labeling moving boxes and it lasted for about one year. The second one lasted for three years -- was used solely for marking out my name and address on envelopes before tossing them into a shared community recycling bin. I'm here now to buy another one.

We had over 100 boxes to write on & this marker made it a breeze.
