Large cracks with less than a year of use

I bought the 60x60 mat about 9 months ago, as of about two months ago it started cracking and now has multiple large cracks in it. At the current rate of breakdown, I don't expect it to make it to the one year mark. I'll see what they offer with their waranty, but I'd rather buy a product that doesn't need to be replaced every year.

Hi James, Thank you for your feedback on our Cleartex Ultimat. We’re very sorry to hear about your experience with the product. There are several factors that can contribute to cracking, including stationary objects, exceeding the mat’s 250 lb. weight capacity. The mat is also not suitable for tightly woven or Berber carpet, as the grippers may not be able to properly penetrate the carpet pile, which can cause the mat to move. For the wide rollers out there

Super flat after unrolling, and this after storage in the garage for a couple of months. Total game changer for me as now I can roll around and not off the edge of my mat. Target had the best price on this item by far.

This is a defective product, do not buy it. It is supposedly made for carpet but it will start cracking within weeks. Target will also refuse to do anything about it unless you're within the return window. So you're basically spending over $100 for a mat that will work just slightly long enough that you're not able to get your money back.

Polycarbonate is a strong and durable material, and under the correct application we would not expect cracks to form. Placing stationary objects on the mat and/or exceeding the mats 250lbs weight capacity (including the chair and user) may also lead to cracking.
