I only need an Iron to iron stubborn cotton handkerchiefs and iron-on patches on my tired and worn out jeans. This Iron handled both those chores handily. I'm sure it would do a great job on dress shirts and slacks as well. Cheers

Purchased this ProctorSilex Model #14250 in the first week of January 2025. Today is January 15th, 2025 and I have had been using the iron for about a week. I have used it approximately 10-12 times in those seven days for ironing clothes such as school uniforms, dress pants, button down shirts, and also a few linens. Within the second or third day of ironing I noticed that turning the iron all the way up to its linen cotton setting was not getting very hot. I would unplug and re-plug, turn it off turn it on, re-position the iron itself, let it sit unplugged then plug it back in, plug it into different outlets throughout the house—- and none of these trouble-shooting steps made any difference in its performance. Due to where I purchased it I am unable to return the item and I will have to take that as a loss. Though, it does narrow down my future choices as I will never purchase a ProctorSilex brand iron again.

It may be called “Simply Better” however, there’s a lot of intention that goes into making a product excellent, durable and a true performer. I looking into irons 3x the price that did not add up to this one. Thank You Proctor Silex.

Even having it at the maximum heat level, it never got hot enough and it was very hard to get the wrinkles off even on easy care materials.

The water Valve can’t close after you adding water Also Takes long to get it warm enough but it’s lighter Iron to carry it anywhere it’s good for travel to take it with you and it’s good for light clothes to get it done The price also cheaper for this iron

Affordable & sturdy built. Plenty of steam to iron out wrinkles in tough fabric like jeans & linen clothes. Recommend as a must for people who are patient in ironing clothes.

Iron worked great, but retractable cord only retracted maybe halfway back into the iron when done and button pressed.

Likes: heats up quickly, retractable, sturdy, good steam function. Minor dislikes: slightly heavy; does not completely smooth out deep creases on some fabrics but does well on cotton; does not retract properly - need to put a little effort to ease the cord back into the compartment. I have not tried the self-cleaning function yet but this iron still looks promising and I would recommend it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love how this Iron has a retractable cord and a self cleaning feature! It’s nice and compact and dosnt take up a lot of room either! It’s easy to use and irons so well you usually only need to go over the wrinkle once!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This iron performs really well! It has numerous settings so that you can pick the right one for the fabric that you’re ironing. It is sturdy and heavy duty. I like that it has a steam function as well as a self cleaning function, which is great for its lifespan and keeping it clean. The only downside for me is that it is on the heavier side. I don’t need to use it often so it’s not a big deal, but if you iron a lot, it may end up feeling a bit heavy. Overall, it is a great iron that performs well and has settings to suit almost every need!
Love this. Where has this been all my life?

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I never knew or thought there would be an easy way to hide the iron cords. It’s always been a pain wrapping it around and around the iron, which I’d have to wait till the iron was cool after I used it, to wrap the cord around. Where has this been all my life. The retractable cord feature is the best part!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I would definitely purchase this iron again. I don’t think I would say it has really special features, but does an iron need to? It heats up fast and gets the job done.
