Read before cooking! Gluten free is gross
This was disgusting. I think the store replaced my original order for old El Paso taco seasoning mix for the gluten free one. And I don't understand how gluten could possibly make it taste different. I had to rinse it out in a colander with hot water and re season it with a normal taco seasoning mix that wasn't gluten free

The new seasoning is disgustingl! Why would you change a product that has been a huge success for as long as I can remember. Fire the person who suggested the change. It used to be orange/ red, now it a like flavorless brown flower.

Color of seasoning,mild seasoning packet
Today I was fixing tacos for dinner and opened a package of the mild taco seasoning, after I poured in the seasoning I noticed it was off color and had a strange smell,I thought maybe you had changed the recipe but after seeing others posting about the same issue it has clearly been happening fora while. My package is dated July 25, 2025…today is July 1st..needless to say I won’t be eating tacos tonight.

Why did this change??
I am very disappointed with the Old El Paso Mild Taco Seasoning Mix. When I bought the seasoning two years ago, the color was a nice shade of red. But when I bought it this year, the color was a muddy brown. After I added water, it looked like gravy. Unfortunately, the mixture tasted as bad as it looked. The flavor of the mix was so off-putting that my family and I could not eat it. We ended up having to throw out the two pounds of ground beef that we had prepared.

White Taco seasoning??
I’ve never seen white taco seasoning. It was just ok. I bought 2 packages and both were white. I will not buy again. Once combined with meat it literally just looked like we were eating ground beef in a tortilla. The cheaper taco seasonings were ten times better than this name brand.

Disappointed in Pennsylvania
My husband and I noticed a significant change in the taste of the Mild Taco Seasoning. It is definitely hotter than before and we taste an increase in cumin. Unfortunately, for our tastes, we do not care for it. This is a product we have relied on for over 35 years.

Something is off
Same as others stated. I went to the store in March 2025 and bought 2 packs of our usual taco seasoning. Dumped it on the meat and instead of the typical orange color and typical scent it was white/grey’ish and didn’t smell or taste the same. Did the recipe change or was it a bad batch?

Best gluten-free seasoning out there

Perfect mild flavor
