Description

Whether you're celebrating a birthday, baby shower, graduation, or just adding a little joy to the day, the Balloon Time Jumbo Helium Tank makes it easy to float your fun. As our largest portable helium tank, it's ideal for filling more than one balloon bouquet and decorating for larger celebrations.

Just turn the green valve (4 full turns to open), slide your balloon onto the black nozzle, and gently press down to fill. Pro tip: stop inflating when your balloon looks like an egg, not a lightbulb. Overfilling can shorten float time or cause balloons to pop.

Under the best party conditions, helium floats standard latex balloons for 5 to 7 hours. For happiest results, inflate balloons 1 to 2 hours before your event and keep them indoors, away from heat or direct sunlight. Want to float even longer? Treat your latex balloons with an additive like HI-FLOAT (sold separately) before filling, and make sure you're using helium-grade balloons, not air-fill only.

Before you float off into party mode, here’s one last thing to keep in mind: balloon size really matters. This tank fills up to (25) 12-inch latex balloons, (27) 18-inch foil balloons, (4) 36-inch foil numbers, or the (50) 9-inch latex balloons included in this kit. Your count may vary depending on how full you inflate or if any balloons pop.

  • A: I followed directions I found on YouTube which showed me how to use a screwdriver and hammer to open the hole at the top of the tank to release all of the helium entirely. Then you use a permanent marker to circle the opened hole and write "empty" next to it and then I just put it in my regular recycle bins which get picked up bi-weekly.

  • A: Yes, definitely. Not sure if you're asking how long the tank will last or the balloons so I will try to answer both. I've used the tank for 2 parties several months apart simply by making sure the valve is tightly closed. Once the balloons are inflated I would say they don't last quite as long as the ones you would get at a party store, but who needs balloons hanging around for 3 weeks anyway? They last at least a few days and as much as a week in my experience. I have used the tank to inflate balloons for the day of my children's birthday and then if their party happens to be a week later, I've used the tank on party day to add a little more helium in them to keep them looking fresh and new.

    Helium tank

    Latex balloons lasted maybe an hour. Started falling before guests arrived and were on the floor before the party was over. Party was for two year old and was only 4 hours long. Mylar/ foil balloons lasted a few hours longer/ through the party.

    Disappointing and Dangerous

    Faulty valve - couldn’t be used. When I opened the valve to use the unit, helium was leaking out of the valve. Had to scrap my plan and pay for a local company to inflate the balloons instead. Spare yourself the disappointment and just get your balloons from a florist.
