Barilla Rustic Basil Pesto Sauce - 6.5oz

Warning: this is not pesto made with basil and garlic only; the label “photo” is misleading. There are cashews in it. When will these companies learn how to make a nut free pesto?!

I had purchased this pesto sauce and Raos pesto sauce to try for a recipe. The Barilla brand pesto was the winner with overall better taste. I have since purchased this sauce again to use. Highly recommend!

I'm deathly (literally) allergic to pine nuts. This is the only store bought basil pesto that I've found without them (cashews are used instead).

This was not very good. The best store bought I’ve found is costcos Kirkland brand pesto. This is fine but that one is way better

Way too acidic. This is not great pesto sauce. It will work in a pinch but if you have time to make your own or can find a higher quality premade version then got with that. I felt like I was eaten a bowl of lemons. Way too sour. I’ve had the creamy genovese version and it’s salty but way better than the rustic.

Barilla has good quality products! We used this pesto to sandwiches. This pesto is a bit too salty, but I guess it's normal. Taste is good still and I would buy this again!

I hate giving bad reviews. However, I don't know why this has the high reviews. It was very oily, even after stiring it up in the jar. Thank goodness I tasted it before I ruined the pasta. It had a sour taste, nothing like my homemade which I was out of and was in a pinch. Definitely will not purchase again.

We served this over small bread slices and toasted bread chips. So Yummy we can't wait to purchase more!

I love this Pesto! I used it in so many ways in my kitchen! On top of crackers and meat for charcuterie boards, on biscuits or inside of crescent rolls before baked, in many different noodle dishes for sauce or just to add a punch of flavor! I will be purchasing this and I highly recommend you give it a try!

The flavor of this product just didn't seem authentic. Would prefer homemade pesto and other store bought brands over this. Seemed slightly too oily.

Barilla's Pesto completely changed my outlook on pesto as a whole! Any time I'd ever tried pesto on pizza/pasta I Wanted to like it, but the flavor was always just.. so.... GREEN. I tried this one with the intention of getting it over with, but was impressed instead and fell in love. Now it's a staple in my pantry. I do like to add a tablespoon of butter in mine to add a tiny creaminess to it, and could even add a couple drops of lime to a bowl. Love it on pasta, tortellini, pizza, or thick toast! Try this. I recommend it to Everyone. 💖💓💝
