A: Never add ANYTHING to your Bisselll cleaner, other than Bissell products. Years ago, I mixed distilled white vinegar into the water tank with water (the same amount as I would have added the Bissell formula) and the machine stopped working.

A: DO NOT USE ON MATTRESS!! I ruined my daughters mattress with this cleaner. She had an accident so I looked online what works well and this was one of the first to come up. I thought I’d try it since it was only a little spot...it made the smell so bad!! It initially had a weird smell but after using it on the mattress, it was horrible!! My daughter cannot even sleep in her bed anymore because she can’t stand the smell. It does work well in the bathroom though. Just stay away from fabric!!!
