Q: I purchased an Apple Watch series 1 however I had to change out the original strap and I can’t find it if I need my watch screen repaired will I have an issue if I don’t have the original band?

However, the Apple watch band is a part known to be interchangeable and the warranty can remain intact as an exception. Should the customer ever need to file a claim for their device it may be required to also send in the replacement band for service. We request the customer emails the identifying information of their warranty to socialhelps@squaretrade.com so we can be sure to notate the exception. - Kristopher

Lessons learned

We purchased our daughter an Apple watch. While walking her arm hit the wall and the watches screen shattered. We did not have any insurance coverage and had to buy a brand new watch. We now have the insurance coverage. Always purchase the protection plans! Lesson learned.
