Great intro and connector
This book is a great introduction to know and unknown figures and contributions from the black/POC community. My kids love digging deeper and researching people that they identify with or are interested in most. The awareness this book brings also has given our family an opportunity research together and I feel like I’m learning almost as much as my kids!

I absolutely love this book and wish it was around when I was growing up! The beautiful illustrations replete with a short biography of 40 trail blazing black women who made great contributions in every sphere: academia; art, economics; entertainment; film; letters; science; social causes and space travel. I actually bought this book for my nieces, but I'll be ordering a copy for myself.
