What's in My Truck? - (What's in My?) by Roger Priddy (Board Book)

My son’s favorite book! We read it every night! He loves finding all the little things.

Our 18mo who loves trucks absolutely loves this book! It's short but every page is a delight - the illustrations are adorable. A few of the flaps are sliding type ones that were a bit stiff at first so we had to open them for him but they did loosen up over time so now he can open them all on his own. Worth it in our opinion!

Only 2 out of the 6 slide doors will actually slide. I, as an adult, have to push down and slide the other 4 doors extremely hard to get them to open. There's no way a toddler or younger is going to be able to do so. There's also very little to the book. There's only 1 slide and 1 pull tab per 2 pages with little else on the page. It's not very colorful or interactive. The "find" items aren't much of a find because there's not enough other objects or details to make it challenging even for very small children. We've checked out a variety of cool slide books from the library and I was expecting a lot more, or at the very least for the slides to actually work. This was supposed to be a Christmas present but it's going back. For the money and what's there, it is not worth it. Even if all the slides worked, it would still be way overpriced for what you get. Don't waste your money.
