The Gillette SkinGuard razor blades provide me with a smooth shave, just like my previous Fusion 5 blades. I purchased them at Albertsons for $2.99 and decided to give them a try when I needed a refill. When I used them, I found that they glide effortlessly and cause zero irritation. They leave my face feeling silky smooth, and I'm glad that the Gillette SkinGuard is compatible with other Fusion 5 razors. It's truly amazing!

This razor doesnt shave quite as close as a 4-5 blade system but it's not supposed to. This is the reason its doesn't cause as much irritation (along with some soothing aloe that you can feel). However, the shave is still close enough for those who want to save their sensitive skin. My only criticim is that the blades barely last a week each, so they should include 5 per pack. For this reason, 4 stars instead of 5. Otherwise a top-end product.

I bought this a week ago at a Walgreens, and I have to say I love it! I needed a quick shave before going to work, and it did the job very well. I love how it is extremely easy to clean compared to the Fusion cartridges (it seems there is a small section on each side that collects hair and is impossible to clean because there is plastic behind it, boxing in the hair), and it's even easier to clean than my Gillette FatBoy DE razor. It also seems to be very effective for manscaping. My only issue with it (not an issue with the cartridge itself) is that it should come with a Proglide handle. I like to use the Gillette Slide with my DE and it seems that the Proglide comes with a feature that sort-of automatically does this. I bought the cheapest Proglide I could find just for the handle. It's possible to do this with the default Skinguard handle, but if I'm going to be lazy when shaving, I want to be LAZY. Also, despite clearly being marketed towards a certain demographic, I'm Caucasian and it works just fine on my beard, even with a bit of growth. I will definitely be buying more of these, although I'll probably be keeping my FatBoy in case I run into a situation where I can't find more cartridges.

I started shaving in the 1960s. My 1st razor was the Gillette Safety Razor, then the adjustable Safety Razor, through the evolution of the Men's Gellette razors to the Skin Guard, my Razor of choice, as I have very y temperamental skin that is easily irritated. THIS is the best razor I have put on my face!!

Anything here that is being easier on your skin is completely canceled out by the number of passes it takes to get an even marginally close shave. You'll end up irritating your skin more than if you just get a reglar gillette 4 blade. At least it's cheap.

Above all else, we believe that everyone deserves a comfortable shave. We crafted our SkinGuard blade so that even those with sensitive skin can get comfortably smooth results. However, due to the SkinGuard Technology between the blades, it may be harder to get a smooth shave faster when compared to our 5-bladed razors. We recommend trimming it down first, and apply a pre-shave and warm water to soften it up. By doing so, when shaving against the grain, the hairs will be easier to remove, and leave you with smooth results. I purchased these blades after I first saw them at the pharmacy. I am so glad I did when they say it's for sensitive skin they really mean it. I love these blades and I never wanted to run out so I went back to the store and purchased another 6 packs. Of you have sensitive skin like mine do give these blades a try you will be glad you did and your face will thank you for it.

I didn't want to like this blade since it seemed expensive for 2 blades (plus a trimmer,) but the more I used it, the more I appreciated it. I do have sensitive skin and am prone to ingrown hairs, so I was a bit skeptical. I have much fewer nicks (usually none) with this blade than any other, and I've tried them all.
