They are way too close to be able to plug anything in side by side. This is a very poorly designed setup.

Very happy with the surge protector.
This outlet expander serves the purpose very well Easy to install and great for expanding the number of outlets available for use. The outlet is on a 20 AMP line and works very well within those limits.

this has a very bright green light, however it did sacrifice itself when my wife started the microwave while the space heater was running simultaneously. it died an honorable death.

Works as advertised but my first one is no longer protecting
This is the second one of these that I have. I just realized the first one the light has burnt out. I have never had a surge protector go bad before so not sure about the light going out means that this is no longer protecting my equipment. If this is true then my rating of 3* is valid because this should last much longer than a few years (about 4-5) while all my other power strips have never stopped protecting my equipment. If the green light going out just means that the light it out then I would give it 5*.

Great device. Status light too bright.
I have full confidence in the protection that this device offers. I like the form of the surge protector. The ONLY reason that I do not give it 5 stars is the green light it emits. I am using this device in my bedroom behind my wall-mounted TV and the green light is SO bright that it kept me awake. I finally covered the light with gaffer tape in order darken the room. I could see this being an issue in a living area or in a media room where you wanted the only light to be coming from a display. If you're looking for a night light AND a surge protector, this IS the device for you!!

This works great, but you'd be better off not putting it someplace where you can see it. The light it emits is very bright. We're talking night light bright. I have a desk in my kitchen that I intended to use this on. Mistake! It's a bit like having a bright desk light as a result. It was nothing a bit of masking tape couldn't fix, but if I had to do it over I'd probably purchase something that didn't come with a wall-mounted flashlight.

I Have Seen The Light
It's a fantastic product! Feels sturdy and provides plenty of power, with no performance issues. I only dock a star because the green LED indicator strip across the top is way brighter than it needs to be, and I had intended to use it in my bedroom, so now that's not happening. If you're planning to use it in any room that people aren't sleeping in, you'll have no issues.

Works well. AC sockets are a little on the tight side, putting pressure on the outlet when removed.
