Q: Would this be effective to protect cords from a cat who likes to chew cords?

  • A: Thank you for your question! This would add an extra layer of protection to to cables you are trying to keep your cat from chewing up, but eventually the cat may get through this and to your cables.

Q: Running cat6 in an existing wall about 8 feet, will 8 cables run through this tubing, or is there another size diameter that might work better?

Flex tubing

My wife's office has multiple computers. These flex tubing makes it easy to not trip on cords and provides a way to have the tubing to be next to the walls and behind her desk. She likes it much better than just tape on the cords to the floor.

Read Description - Cannot be used as wire chase

Extremely flimsy. I was planning on using this for a wire conduit between two low voltage boxes, but this definitely cannot be used for this purpose.

Does the job

Nothing to review really. It keeps the various wires behind an office desk organized and not looking like a rat's nest. The size is perfect for a few AC/DC, HDMI, etc. cables. Easy to cut to size with regular scissors.

Cable run tubing

This tubing will work for running video cables to a projector or TV but I wish is was 1.25" to allow more cable room. Perhaps a selection of sizes would be good for monoprice to offer.

Effective and inexpensive, does exactly what I wanted.

It's a corrugated plastic tube with a cut down the side so you can get the cables in. Effective and inexpensive, does exactly what I wanted, holds quite a bit, 1x HDMI, 1xUSB, and 4x ethernet in mine. Bundle is still about as flexible as if the cables were just zip tied together, but tube is way better to accidentally step on than zip tie heads and looks much cleaner
