Beautiful but rough
Beautiful wood grain and colors. The texture was unfinished, very rough to touch leaving small splinters in my fingers. Roughness was very visiable, this should not have gotten past any quality control. I sanded and oiled it again but its not smooth. Now it's usable but not as smooth as I would like.

Wood cutting board
Dislike the whole board . It had small fragments of wood rubbing on my food and everything I placed. I couldn’t cut anything on it the first day so I placed a return . Not happy with this .

Rough surface
The surface is too rough, and it needs to be sanded thoroughly before any use. I am disappointed due to its poor quality. I do not know the type of wood they used, but the appearance does not resemble what is advertised. I would not recommend it to my friends.

Not Smooth Finish to Cutting Board
I was a bit disappointed when I received this cutting board that the finish on it was rough and not smooth like most cutting boards. It felt as though it had not been sanded down, so I took a few pieces of sandpaper to it and tried to make it more usable. It is still a bit rough after doing so and treating with oil, so maybe this type of wood is not suitable for cutting boards. It has a beautiful coloring to it, which is the one of the main reasons I went for it, but wouldn't recommend.

Warped in Less than 2 Weeks
I am very disappointed in this product. I received my order about 2 weeks ago and have been using this cutting board, but it has completely warped. I have followed all care instructions and washed only by hand, but I got less than two weeks use out of it. Very frustrating!

rough surface, warp sides
I expected a high quality item from BergHOFF and I was so deceived when I received the package. Really, acacia wood?! This cutting board has improper finishing, the wood is rough and you can feel the imperfections when you touch the surface. I am even afraid little pieces of wood can fall into the meal while using this. Also, the board is not perfectly rectangular as expected, the long sides are slightly curved and it looks weird. Even the packaging was very basic, just wrapped in plastic with a small barcode stuck on it. I wish I can return this item and get my money back. I know it was on sale but definitely not worth the $16!
