Nice for the price
If you are used to purchasing furniture that needs to be built, this item is pretty straight-forward. If you are not used to purchasing furniture that needs to be built, you need to follow the instructions exactly, and be careful moving the pieces around because they don't become structurally sound until complete. The bookcase matches our bed perfectly, and I very much like the design of it. The piece that attaches to the wall to secure the unit is cheap plastic. I recommend using something stronger so there's no chance the bookcase could fall over. And definitely use a power drill to screw in the 44 small screws on the back of the piece. Otherwise, enjoy!

A sturdy, good looking bookshelf! Loved the white/beige variant the beige stripes have a nice accent to the white. Requires two people to assemble, moving as it is heavy.

Could be better...
I wanted to love this bookshelf because it's much prettier than the typical standard cases, but it kind of makes me sad. The amount of flaws in the craftsmanship is disappointing. None of the pieces sit flush and every pieces of wood has either a chip or ding. Seriously looks like I purchased it secondhand! After assembly, we had to wash it in vinegar and air it out in the open hallway for a week because the paint smell was so strong! I'd consider other options before purchasing this piece.

bought 2 of them.Once you get passed how many nuts and screws there are you will be fine.Just follow instructions you will be ok.Just dont over screw the cam screws.so that the cam locks will go in easier.took about an hour by myself.remember half the screws are to hold back on.EASY..

Sturdy and functional, meets my needs
I've been happy with my bookcase - it's got more character than the plain bookcases since it has unique shelving structures and the ridged molding design on top and bottom. It feels sturdy and decently heavy and high quality, but it's not solid wood so it won't last forever. It was already damaged when i received it via FedEx (small dents on the long white side panels), but it's too much of a hassle to ask for a replacement. The assembly took about 1.5-2 hours for an experienced handyman to assemble. It's 75 pounds when shipped, so you will need help carrying it up stairs or anything like that, and ideally 2 people to assemble.
