    Almost perfect

    Got this to replace an old torchiere lamp. Things that would make this 5 stars: 1) Stand straight (it leans a bit, but was fixed with a bent piece of cardboard under the base) 2) Have more weight (it is not as weighty as other lamps I am trying) 3) Needs longer lampshade (when using it to read, I needed to put a shorter harp on the socket for the shade to cover the bulb from below. With the enclosed harp, I felt like I was sitting under a spotlight and there was a glare on my book). 4) Have a perfectly flat shade (there are small dents in the shade that are noticeable when looking closely) All in all, I really wanted to keep this lamp. I loved the shade color and the material. I love the color of the post which is closer to black than bronze. But unfortunately I need a lamp for reading and a torchiere lights the book and room consistently without creating a spotlight effect with glare as this lamp does.

    Its simple but does not stand up straight

    Even with the stickies they send u, these lamps do not stand up straight.

    Quality

    Beautiful lamp, adds just enough lighting to our dim living room that’s easy on the eyes but bright enough I don’t need to use a flashlight. I wish the lamp shade was a tad lighter or more translucent, but an easy fix with different bulbs.
