Handle broke off
The orange handle broke off almost right away. Seems like it was just glue holding it in place. We will be able to glue it back. Just makes it seem cheap and not worth the price.

"Sturdy" Handle Broke in 20 Minutes
Bought this for my 3-year-old to use to catch critters in the lake and yard. It started off great and we were having a lot of fun, but then we tried to fully extend the handle and it broke after trying to scoop minnows up too fast. There's a small plastic tab holding the two pieces of the handle together and it sheared off to where the handle won't stay together more than a few minutes. We glued the pieces together, but haven't bothered to use the HABA net again and instead bought a metal fishing net that should last years.

Perfect for toddlers!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My son has been using this for about 3 weeks, and he loves it. He is almost two and uses it to collect toys inside and attempt to catch bugs outside. Once the firefly's are out I'm sure we will have a field day catching those. The net is definitely sturdy as it has held up to being hit on just about everything in my house, including me. The net itself is also pretty good quality as we have no rips or tears yet. Definitely a great item for kids!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My son loves his New Terra Kids Scoop Net! He will scoop anything into it, his toys, my items, water, sand, he even catches bubbles with it. It keeps him pretty busy and occupied for a while. I like that it can get longer if needed or short.

Net too short
Decent bug net for kids. My issue with it is that the net is too short to fold down and keep in any bugs, so once you catch them they can easy fly out or accidentally squish them.

Perfect for my tiny nature fiend
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My 5 year old loves this thing. He is always outside and loves all creatures. His favorite is frog hunting. He uses this toy net to help him hunt and play with his little buddies. The extending pole is nice to help him reach further under our porch. And don't worry, he always let's his little buddies go unharmed. He just loves watching them and petting them.

Durable
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Both my two year old and my five year old boys love this net. They use it in the pool and when we go out on the boat. My boys are rough on toys so I fully expected this to be broken after the first few uses. Much to my surprise it is super durable and withstands a lot of abuse. The handle is long enough for them to reach much farther than other nets we've tried out. We've been very happy with this and would definitely recommend it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My kids have gone through a lot of nets with camping and playing outdoors constantly. They really like to take them when we go fishing too. They all really loved this net. It was the perfect size for them. It’s also really durable and has stood up to them roughing around with it. I really like how it pulls out to become longer. So far we haven’t gotten any rips in the netting so that is also a plus. They actually fight over it so I will have to be buying two more!

Well made expandable scoop net
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My son loves to be outdoors and he loves to explore. Naturally being an explorer he loves to add tools to his collection and we have went through more than our fair share of scoop nets for him to collect things with but none of which have held up until we got this one. He is young and not the most careful with his things but this net has stayed as good as new despite being thrown, and hit against walls and trees, it has made it through trips to the creek, rides on his riding toys, it goes everywhere with him and still is as usable as the day that we got it. It is made out of hard plastic material making it sturdy but not heavy, it is easy to twidt the handle to expand the handle and there is even a little hole at the end to hang it up to dry if need be. If we were to ever need another scoop net we would get this one.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The net is a good equipment to have for explorers & discoverers. The net is used for catching fish, or frogs or maybe even fireflies catching. The material of the net is plastic and it’s a mesh net. The dimensions of the bar sliding is from 22” to 27”. My son is 3 years old and he used it multiple times in my grandparents pond & he enjoyed using it. Over time, my sons eventually broke because it is made out of plastic. If I were to get another one, the material would have to be metal at least because the plastic can be easily broken.

Its very well built and sturdy, i have 4 kids and they have had fun using it to catch bugs and scoop up fish out of the pond. I like that it is a telecoping handle because the kids dont squeal about being too close to the bugs and fish.
