I was trying to find an alternative to gel but this doesn't have the best hold. I feel like I constantly has to be reapplied

Let me start by saying that nothing really works in my hair when it comes to slicking down/back. I ALWAYS end up with hairs that stick up around the fronts, edges, of my hair and it drives me insane because it doesnt give me that polished look that I strive for. But this actually works, well enough, for my hair. Do I still have stray hairs that pop up? Yes, but they are way less than without the product and it works in the areas that I care about the most. Also, I've only used it once (have it in now) and not on clean hair (hair cream, gel) so im curious to see if it will work better or worse on hair that has no or minimal product in it. Im also curious to see how it will hold up in the heat/sweat. For referenece my hair texture is 3B/C combo (think Alicia Keys). Overall-im really statisfied!

I’m trying to find any alternative to gel so I can significantly lower my gel use. This is a good product, it also leaves a nice (subtle) lingering scent in your hair, but I find that the hairs start poking out midway through the day. It also leaves the hair greasy so be prepared for that. Cute if you’re going for an effortless, wispy look, but it doesn’t beat gel for slicked back styles.

It is very solid and too hard to use. I have to push it into my daughter’s head and still feel like almost nothing is coming out. I will be returning it.

I think a lots of comments about the smell or it not working for them are not used to ethnic hair products. While it says it can be used by all hair types, if you have stick straight hair this might not be for you. This also has oil in it which gives my curly hair moisture as to not dry it out.

I really wanted to like this, but it did not work for my updo hairstyle to hold the hairs to stay in the updo. The smell the aweful VERY strong! Gave me a headache. Returned it.

It holds back my wispies and doesn’t make my hair feel or look greasy. But the hood doesn’t last all day.

I would recommend getting this wax stick! this is my first time using one and it slicks my hair so well. I don’t even need to use Gel or got2b anymore when I have this!

Ehh...I really wanted to support but this wax stick does not work for my hair or wigs. I have had this stick for 6 months and I am really disapponted because I wanted it to work. My hair doesnt stay slick and it eventually poofs up a looks crazy. Not a great hold.

I use this almost everyday to take away annoying fly always. It also works great for a slicked back bun or pony. I am so glad I bought it!

I straighten my hair more than I leave it curly. I have 3b hair. I was worried this would leave my hair looking oily, but to my surprise it doesn’t! It does have a strong scent at first (earthy smelling maybe? Idk) but it quickly goes away. I LOVE THIS PRODUCT! I wish I would’ve known about it sooner!

I will never slick my hair back with anything else.. run to target and grab this!!!!!!

Unfortunately this was not a good product. It's more greasy than anything.
