A: Thank you for asking about this! Most homes change their filter at around 2-4 weeks, though this timeframe will vary for each home based on use. These filters remove bad tastes and odors from the water, but would not be able to reduce the effects of hard water. If you have very hard water, we would recommend using a 50/50 solution of white vinegar and water when you clean your fountain every 1-2 weeks, as this will help minimize hard water stains.
