I've been trying to find a healthier snack bar and heard this brand was pretty popular as a good alternative. I purchased these Dark Chocolate Almond and the Banana Bread bars but they were so dry I could barely eat it without water. I want to try some of their other products because the flavors sounded promising, but after this experience, it kind of turned me off.

I have been buying these for several years now. They are quality ingredients. However, the last 3 boxes that I have purchased have been more "dry and crumbly in texture'. They just don't seem to be quite as soft as they were before. They are not cheap for the size either. Not giving up on these yet, I will give them another try. I do love simple mills products overall, so I hope these go back to the original quality that I'm used to getting with this brand.

These used to be a 5 star item. Still 5 for ingredients, but they reformulated the bars recently and the shape and texture aren't very good now. It seems like the ingredients are the same as before, so idk. I'll still keep a few strategically placed bars for when I'm out and need to eat but there's no other allergen safe food options, but I won't use these as breakfast bars or have them on a regular basis anymore unless they go back to the original version.

After looking at the other reviews, I’m wondering if mine were made out of rancid nuts or some other anomaly. They tasted SO bad. I’m not a picky eater at all and rarely leave reviews but these are dry and gross
