Solid shelves
The unit was easy to assemble and solid feel to the unit. Lovely stains wooden shelves. My only concern was the size. It was smaller than expected. I have a previous Target shelves purchased about 8 years ago, was glad you still sold the product, and it appears the same just much smaller. My fault not carefully attentive.

Easy build. Was able to put it together by myself and easy to carry into the desired location. Able to fit quite a lot of books despite its size. Only downside, had a bit of an oily film on the wood panels, but it was an easy clean.

Assembly is a nightmare not sure why other reviws are saying otherwise
I didn't mind that the shelf came in so many pieces and was ready to get to assembling. The bolts that are supposed to secure the actual shelves to the outside brackets are too thin and the threads of the bolts continue to slide out. Even After I was able to slide all bolts in, the shelf would not stand on its own. In order to get it somewhat stable I had to attach the cross bars on the back and bolt them in. These bolts for the crossbar actually fit and secured it so I am thinking the holes on the shelf were drilled too big so the bolts don't secure on the sides. Good thing I have liquid nails on hand or else I would be left with a shelf that can't stand on its own and most likely won't last long holding anything. For anyone that has this same issue and doesn't want to deall with the return like me just liquid nail or super glue the shelves to the brackets and fill the holes where the bolts are exposed so that it is secure. I have yet to test it with items because I want to make sure the liquid nails is secured because I can't trust the shelf on its own. Otherwise it is a nice design and that is why I chose this shelf but I wasn't expecting to have to do extra work to this extend. I expected the parts to work as they should since they are included. Wouldn't recommend this shelf just because it was frustrating having to create a solution and because the other reviews saying "easy assembly" are very misleading.
