WAY TOO HEAVY
The mixer body itself is too heavy, and then you have to snap on the "battery pack" which is also heavy. In addition, you cannot charge battery and use it at the same time. So, you have to WAIT until it is charged to use it. On top of all that, it is very SLOW. It has no where near the power of my old mixer with a regular AC plug. So, this is a high-priced mixer that is poorly designed, awkward to use, and less powerful than a standard cheap mixer. Having a cord is NOT an inconvenience, but (a) being TWICE as heavy, (b) not being able to use it while charging it, and (c) being SLOW even at its highest speed ... are ALL major inconveniences.

Worked for 13 months, then would not run on the battery. Even bought an additional battery charger to see if that would make it work. Still did not work. Warranty only one year. Kitchenaid was not helpful in replacement of mixer or a battery.

Where have you been all my life!
I have used the mixer 5 times before the battery got down to 1 light. The power was not diminished at 1 light. The mixer is quiet even at high speed. The lowest speed is effective at blending wet and dry without creating a mess. The mixer's high speed is also very effective and impressive strength even when battery power is at 1 light. This mixer being cordless is extremely convenient; you are not limited to a counter space near an electric outlet. The base of the mixer is flat which is very helpful in between a recipe when you have to stop missing to scrape the sides of your mixing bowl. The battery charges to full in about an hour. The design and weight when holding it are comfortable and solid feeling. it's easy to clean with a damp cloth. I wish I had known about this mixer years ago. I highly recommend this mixer!

Shaded palm cordless mixer
The pebbled palm is a lot better than the shaded palm color. The battery should be the same color like the mixer to blend in . It looks cheap compared to the pebbled palm color.

Bad quality
I loved this mixer for the 2 months it functioned. The gears where the actual metal mixers inserts into the handheld portion already broke and no longer hold onto the mixers. So they slip right out. 2 months. Crappy and a total waste of $120

This mixer is frustratingly slow! At first, I thought the battery just needed to be fully charged but that was definitely not the case. Is it convenient being able to use it without the need to plug it in, yes. However, I much rather pay for quality than convenience. A total waste.
