Such a good book. It honestly makes me long for a man like Kai Young. Ana Huang absolutely delivered with this one—Kai is the perfect mix of controlled, devoted, and quietly intense in a way that makes every scene he’s in hit harder. His love feels steady and intentional, not just passionate but deeply loyal, which makes the romance feel earned and real. The chemistry is undeniable, the emotional moments actually tug at you, and the character growth is so satisfying. This book had me hooked from start to finish, and it’s easily a five-star read I won’t stop thinking about anytime soon. 💫📖

Love Ana Huang and her books. This series is the first book series and books I’ve been able to read and enjoy.

Could not put this book down read it in one day. Currently begging my friends to read it so they can see why I can’t stop gushing about this is book. Kai Young is my new favorite book boyfriend 💜

Ever since i read king of wrath i knew i needed Kai and Isabella’s story. This was such a great read. I love how Kai is honest and doesn’t hide what he’s feeling. I also loved when he stood up to his mother to defend Isabella and overall his protectiveness and love for Isabella us something that had me hooked.

I really enjoyed this book, it incorporated the elements of Asian Romance, Billionaire, Forbidden Romance, and Opposites Attract, all of which are my top favorite tropes that a book could have. I can’t thank Ana Huang enough for yet another fantastic book I can read forever and ever. I love how Kai, one of the main characters is very protective over Isabella. He is a strong, reserved, and proper to fault man that anyone could possibly fall for. This book is apart of a series named Kings of Sin, and are all standalone books which are books that are connected but you don’t need the other books in the series to understand, I would however read the first book in the series, King of Wrath, to get a better understanding of what going on in the book. Because some of the previous characters are incorporated into this book. My favorite Character in this book is Alessandra Davenport. She is a kind, thoughtful, and intelligent person who loves to care for everyone even through some hardships she’s going through. I always try to immerse myself in books, to get the feel of what’s going on, and what the characters feel in a certain setting. King of Pride made me feel that the characters are here, real and in stereo, making every decision before my very eyes. This book made me occasionally second guess myself, it was predictable and unpredictable at the same time. My all time favorite part of this book is reading the struggles Kai and Isabella face, their reservations about each other and the way they where so different but worked out. I loved Kai’s British seriousness and the way he translates books for into latin, if I’m not mistaken. Some parts were definitely written particularly well including most of the sad and grueling scenes. The book didn’t make me laugh nor cry, or even mad, it just made me feel like I was in the book, being immersed in watching every step of every characters action, watching what they’re saying and what they’re doing. King of Pride captured my attention, and kept me turning the pages one by one trying to find what happens next. This book took me about the same pace to read, as I usually do which is about 1-2 weeks. I really wish there was a cliffhanger, because there is always room for anticipation in the future. Cliffhangers make me want to find out what happens next in the next book, and keep me waiting for more. I did find it difficult to care for some characters, and who they are as a person but I can sometimes work out why I feel like that / how it might become that way. I love this book and recommend this book to whoever likes the forbidden romance, billionaire, and opposites attracts tropes this book has to offer. This book is definitely for older people, possibly 16 and up since it is a pretty mature book to read. King of Pride compared to Twisted Love, another book written by Ana Huang, is slightly worse. In Twisted Love there was more drama and suspense, and King of Pride just had a good storyline to it. I would definitely give this book a 4/5 stars. Would recommend reading anytime!

SUCH A GOOD BOOK! I’ve read several books from this author and she never disappoints! both characters are described and there growth and character development is amazing! The plot moves at a good pace and doesn’t drag on. Would definitely recomend this book, it’s predecessor King of Wrath, can’t wait for the next one King of Greed !
