It consists of three layers: a low-adherent layer that protects your wound, an absorbent gauze layer that absorbs exudate, and a nonwoven adhesive tape that holds the dressing in place and maintains a moist wound environment. Good size; but some adhesive buildup

Glad for this large size (6x6). Seems to allow good airing/ventilation and healing, better than other, less-professional, bandages. I only change bandage every two days, and I have had difficulty with adhesive buildup on my skin around the edges of the bandage coverage.
