No stars!! Item was not received! Instead they delivered a box of kids face masks, no meat slicer! I was appalled. I went straight to Target and they issued a refund. I guess I'll look for a meat slicer in person!

Got a kids face mask instead of the meat cutter. Is this a scam?

This seller sent me kids face masks instead of food slicer. I was trying to see if they can replace the order with the correct item, the seller was not able to do it.

My husband has been trying to get the hang of using this thing, but even after freezing meat for an hour or longer, while cutting, the meat ends of spinning on the blade after each slice. Super annoying, but obviously more consistent pieces than using a knife, I was happy to see one so affordable, but now I know why. This thing also sounds like a table saw, I was three rooms away when he turned it on the first time and I couldn’t believe my ears! I thought he was using a power tool, sounded like it was right next to my ear. VERY overstimulating, glad he’s a trooper and is using it, not me. Also, as soon as it turns on, it smells extremely musty, not sure why you don’t smell it when it’s off, but that was since the first use, lots of tiny meat chunks will fly out the back, so be sure to cover your surface, or you’ll be disinfecting everything around it.

Used it today and it works so well! First thing you notice is how well the suction cups hold this thing down! I made a pork and a beef roast yesterday (google deli beef roast recipe) Put in the freezer about an hour(?) so they would be firm when slicing. One thing I recommend is not put pressure on the pusher when drawing it back - slides easier and helps the meat end not slip out before it’s pulled back Its thinnest setting is REALLY thin I think more so than I could use I have a VERY small baking sheet with a rim I positioned it to catch the meat it was perfect! You do have to help cut slices off the machine - they don’t drop on their own which is fine Clean up was very very easy Seems to be extremely sturdy for a home slicer and it has a 5 yr warranty $69 but well worth it

This unit works better than any other unit.

This is a convenient nice sized meat slicer. Easy to use ad easy to clean. The blade comes off for really easy cleaning. It could use some improvements, like a locking tab for the thickness adjustment and better support for the sliding plate. Sliding plate also should be metal, not plastic. But all in all it did the job without having a huge outlay for a commercial meat slicer. And would be fine for the occasional slicing job.

Easy to use and makes cutting bulk meat easy. We buy from the meat market and with the savings we bought this. Great investment.

I use this to slice home made seitan that I cook in a ham press. The adjustability is great ranging from wafer thin slices for deli sandwiches to thick slabs for frying up as the entree centerpiece. The slicer is well built and uses decent materials. Although most of it is plastic, it feels fairly sturdy, remains lightweight, and everything seems to work smoothly. The blade disconnects for easy cleaning (without tools), and the other parts also come off for washing with exception of the adjustable thickness plate, which is pretty easy to clean down in place. The guards make for a pretty safe slicing experience so less worry about cutting yourself, and the suction pads on the bottom even stick very well to my old tiled kitchen counter. Aside from the dense seitan, I've also sliced much softer tofu, and even bread - all with great results. One very minor downside is that there are some unavoidable small crumb/particle buildups (less then 1%) as part of the slicing process, but it's still far better than any other method I've tried.

Sliced through the meat with ease

I bought this to slice my bread. I was blown away on how well it sliced. Very easily to clean up. I hope it will last me a long time. (UPDATE) I used it for the second time and it worked great. The only thing I don't like is the measure for thickness is in MM. So I eyeball it.

Pays for itself in less than a month of lunches. Easy to use. I wish there was a piece that guarded the space behind the blade to make cleanup a little easier.
