Bubble Skincare Solar Mate Mineral Sunscreen - SPF 40 - 1.7 fl oz: Zinc Oxide, Aluminum-Free, Vegan Formula

This is a clean mineral sunscreen without a bunch of extra ingredients like some pricier and fancier ones. It has no silicones, no added fragrance, etc. I am Asian with a light-beige skintone and I do not see a white cast. I am middle-aged with an oily T-zone. This does not dry out my skin nor make it feel greasy, and it seems to give it a dewy feel. I have not experienced pilling, which I struggle with with some other sunscreens because I get oily in my t-zone and it reacts with some skincare ingredients to cause pilling. I like the airless pump because it's less messy and I know that the the content is not exposed to air and this keeps it more sanitary. This does not cause me to break out and does exacerbate my sebaceous hyperplasia.

Lately I have been testing out some everyday spf options. This is easier to rub in than some zinc based ones I've tried and doesn't leave a white cast. It feels a little tacky like I've applied sunscreen but that feeling and the smell (not a fragrance which I appreciate but the smell of the cream itself) fades in about an hour. The sun protection factor seems accurate as I haven't gotten burned while using it. However this isn't rated for swim or sweating, which somewhat defeats the purpose of wanting a non chemical option for eye sensitivity, because sweat makes it go into my eyes where it still stings. I received a tube that was expired, so be sure to double check expiration dates. One box I received was crushed and not sealed so I couldn't tell if it had been opened or used before. Quality control is lacking if you're not selecting a box yourself in the store. I will probably finish what I bought but when it comes time to replace I'll be looking at other options.

Finally found a sunscreen I love using daily! I've been searching for a mineral sunscreen that fully and easily blends without leaving a white cast and doesn't bother my sensitive acne prone skin, and this product checks those boxes. I love the pump style bottle too.

I like all the ingredients in it and spf strength but it has the worse smell ever. It’s non scented but still doesn’t make sense why it smells bad

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this SPF I use it everyday. There’s no white cast and it layers beautiful with my toner, serums, and moisturizer. I have very dry skin so it helps with hydration and protect me against the sun. A little goes a long way and I am glad I scored this. It’s my first time using this and it will not be my last.

Likes: better ingredients than some brands, cheaper than some other mineral sunscreens I’ve tried, pump is easy to use Dislikes: super sticky, leaves a minimal white cast ( medium/ olive skin tone), doesn’t blend well, smells weird Kinda want to return it but idk if I can honestly. Only reason I bought it was due to Versed Mineral tint sunscreen being discontinued. That was literally the BEST mineral sunscreen I ever used, didn’t cling to dry patches, didn’t turn orange, and no sticky feeling on your skin either, reapplying was super easy. With this bubble block, reapplying sucked two 2.5 hours later. I have to take micellar water to get the previous layer off so it’s not overly sticky the next application. Won’t be repurchasing. Really wish versed still made their mineral tint 🥲

This sunscreen goes on nicely and blends well. It does have a weird smell but you notice it less over time. Unfortunately for me, it did end up contributing to clogged pores and caused some big forehead pimples, so I returned it. If you’re not acne prone I think it could be a good option. It’s also expensive for the size though.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve been using Bubble Solar Mate Sunscreen for a little while now, and as someone with dry skin, I’m honestly impressed 💛 Right when I apply it, my face doesn’t feel tight or flaky like some sunscreens do — it actually feels smooth and comfortable. It spreads easily, doesn’t leave a white cast, and doesn’t pill under makeup which is huge for me. I also like that it doesn’t feel greasy or heavy, but still keeps my skin hydrated throughout the day. I feel confident wearing it whether I’m just at school or out in the sun for longer. Definitely a great sunscreen for dry skin that needs moisture and protection.
