A: Hi Andrew! These are made of heat strengthened soda lime glass. We don't recommend them for a hot plate, but they are microwave and preheated oven safe.

Go ahead does not fit this bowl. It falls off very easily. So disappointing. I'll buy more Room Essentials storage bowls, which don't have this problem and cost less.

The glass storage containers are great, but the lids are terrible. They develop cracks easily & then it is difficult to find replacements. The point of buying these, for me, was to store food & without the lids they are almost unusable.

I'm so disappointed in Pyrex. We replaced ALL our plastic containers with glass only to find these lids crack in a matter of a few months. So instead of being more environmentally friendly, I'm now constantly throwing away thick plastic, non-recyclable lids. Thanks, Pyrex.
