I'd give this product no stars if possible. Right out of the box it won't work, no power. Researching on the internet, the power switch is a common problem with this product. Unfortunately, I lost the sales receipt so can't return it. Hoover used to make good, durable products but I'll remember this experience the next time I'm thinking of buying a floor care product.

Regrettably, the HOOVER PowerDash Pet Advanced 3 did not meet my expectations. The product's design has a significant flaw that results in persistent leaking during operation. This issue undermines its overall functionality and renders it unsuitable for effective cleaning.

This product is horrible! We got it to clean up after our dog wouldn't stop peeing on things It leaks all the time, and the attachment leaks as well

I really like this machine. It's lightweight and cleans well. However, when I used the hose attachment for the first time it leaked all over my floor. After much investigation I discovered the o- rings were cheaply made and broken and they aren't available through hoover. I got some that aren't a perfect fit and it still leaks a little. I am disappointed in such cheap parts that are important for it's function. Do better Hoover. At least make them available to buy or tell us what size to use.

I have used it about 4 times over 2 years. I attempted to replace the belt. It only hums. It dumped black water onto my carpet. No warranty. It's trash after only 4 uses!!!! Support is useless

I loved my PowerDash Pet (blue and white, model FH50700) but it eventually broke after five years and I replaced it with the more expensive PowerDash Pet Advanced (gray, model FH55050PC). The PowerDash Pet+ (red and white, model FH50704V) and PowerDash Pet Advanced models both have heat drying technology and a newer design for easier/better cleaning after use, with the latter also having a handheld attachment, which is why I chose it. The PD Pet Advanced does not work as well as the PD Pet. There is not as much water in the dirty water tank, the water in there is less dirty and the machine picks up fewer lint/fur clumps. This must be because the heat tech dries the water rather than sucking it up along with the dirt, the new design (for easier disassembly) makes it easier to clean but worse at scrubbing/suctioning, or some combination of these factors. I absolutely loathed cleaning the PD Pet. Since the PD Pet Advanced doesn't seem to work as well, though, and the handheld attachment isn't particularly impressive (which is to be expected since there are specific machines for that and even they are disappointing), I may just return it for the original PD Pet. I'm tempted to consider the PD Pet+ since it's easier to clean but I imagine that I should realistically expect the same subpar performance since it has the same heat tech and new design as the PD Pet Advanced. Pretty torn and confused now, and don't feel good about my purchase. Has anyone else used one of the PowerDash models and then upgraded to this but noticed it produces less satisfactory results?

The carpet cleaner works good for the price of it but the solution tank cap broke and it isn't any info online on how to fix it

The tank is smaller than the XL ones so needed to go back and forth to refill but I didn't mind it works so well. Got out old stains and dries quickly

I vacuum my floor before using the carpet cleaner. The carpet cleaner lifts dirt better. No steam mop though as advertised . The only thing I would complain about is the dirty water tank has to be changed at least 3 times to do a living space

I only received this carpet cleaning machine and used it once so far so I will wait to write a detailed review. I have a QUESTION for Hoover and if others are also able to comment on a reply, I welcome any others to share if this occurred for them as well. My carpet was a mess and the last time it was cleaned it was done professionally around five years ago. And we have two cats that do pick at it. Pushing the carpet cleaner forward and back it spits out leaving a trail of wet, dirty carpet pieces. At first I assumed this is how dirty the carpet is, but began to worry and wonder if this was a sign of something from the machine, or if the machine was pulling out carpet, and was it something I'm doing wrong such as - maybe it's a sign the solution that came with this machine wasn't right for this carpet? Maybe it's a sign I'm taking too long and going too slowly over an area (although spraying solution once on some areas carpet would spit out. These clumps would also need to be cleaned out of the crevices of the plastic piece that holds the brush that scrubs and rotates after each dirty water empty - what's left thae machine didn't spit out in a trail at times where I've cleaned. So what's happening? Is this good or bad? Am I doing something wrong? My carpets clean and although there was a LOT of wet carpet spit out and caught in the brush head, I can't tell if my carpet now looks thinner or not. My husband didn't say anything like that seeing it the next day. I just can't BELIEVE the amount of carpet!! I worry when I use a second and third time, if it is removing carpet, I'll start seeing where it's removing it- I don't want to wait for THAT to do something about it, when it's too late. Another question is: is there an amount of time that's best for this machine to be running at one time? Being my first time I'm unsure of the speed I should go along with the amount of back and fourth when spraying as well as when drying? If you have a 50 to 60 foot by 25-30 foot room, how much time would and should that take me to complete? Should I, can I keep going over an area until the waters no longer dirty in one cleaning or spread it out? Lastly, is there an additional accessory available to carpet clean the area between the wall meeting the carpet? A link to only the extra accessories for just this machine would be helpful too! Potty training kids, house training pets and a cat that pukes everywhere, plus all the normal food and drink spills and dirt from outside carried in on shoes. The vacuum just wasn't cutting it in terms of cleanliness. This carpet cleaner is light weight, easy to use and did a fantastic job of making my carpet look almost new again without the cost of a carpet cleaning service. It's great for spot cleaning as well as whole room cleaning. I'm almost ready to try it on my furniture and my vehicle carpets. The only thing I wish was different is I wish it had a longer power cord. The one on it is good enough for a whole room though.

so i bought this one about a year ago and i was so excited. imagine having like 6 animals and a 1 year old. you buy this. excited. then you clean with it and can't put the baby down on the floor for the next three days for tummy time and crawling because your carpets still soaked. i have super short carpet kinda like an area rugs length. it's a pretty okay scrubber. but the attachment never sucked things up and leaked out of the connection spot even after deep cleaning and drying everything. the parts just don't stay together let alone fit well together at all. i used it recently because i desperately needed to do the carpets. i thought why not give it another go ya know. maybe i can finagle it. nope. now i'm left with soaked carpets don't get me wrong i ended up getting them cleaned with a bunch of hand scrubbing too. but now i'm left with a soaked living room floor for a couple days i'm even running the dehumidifier to see if it'll help at all. it's a lot like i tried drying it with a towel and just wouldn't work. one of my friends even has one and they hate it too. i really hope they fix their engineering.
