Repair & Refresh Shampoo - Ocean Surf by Alba Botanica - 12 oz Liquid

Really seemed to clean the dirt, sweat, and grime out of my hair without completely removing the natural oils and drying my hair and scalp out. I struggle with dandruff and after a few uses it seemed to reduce my dandruff by a noticeable amount. I used it with the matching conditioner so I can't speak for how it works on its own. I think it is a great product.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a decent shampoo especially when used along with alba botanica ocean surf conditioner. Just like the conditioner it is made with no chemicals and no animal testing. The sent isn't as strong as most shampoos. So it doesn't stick around very long after shower. But still a very good shampoo for split ends just use it as it says and it will help.

I used it with the matching conditioner Alba Botanica Ocean Surf conditioner...and my hair has felt so clean and soft! I've had more tangles though, which doesn't really make sense....

My hair feels lighter, softer, and more healthy. I wanted to know why, so I checked the label and saw that there are no sulfates, parabens, phthalates, or petroleum, and no artificial colors or fragrances. This is truly a natural shampoo. It works well on my hair, making me feel good and look good.

I liked that the shampoo was made with no harsh sulfates that would damage my hair or scalp. My only complaint would be the smell of the shampoo itself, which was not exactly beachy, but did smell very nice.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Running around with 2 little kids, I usually get a change to wash my hair only 1-2x a week. After using this shampoo a few times, I noticed that my scalp doesn't get oily and itchy and my hair doesn't look really greasy after 4+ days. It does take about 1.5 to 2x more shampoo than my normal brand to get a proper full-head lather.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] While being plant based and free of parabens, phthalates or synthetic fragrances is undeniably a plus, this shampoo left me wanting something else. It doesn't lather well, required a copious squeeze to be able to spread through my short hair, and doesn't smell like the ocean (at all! Smell was non existence honestly). I can't recommend this shampoo as their are better alternatives in the natural shampoo market.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was my first time using the Alba Botanica brand and I was pretty impressed because the scent was a light ocean scent which really helps to transport me to the ocean when showering. After my hair is dry it still smelled really fresh and nice. I really love the botanical ingredients because they help to soften my hair strands and although I did use this with the actual matching conditioner, this shampoo really helped to clean my hair. I have colored hair and it really got the grime and sweat out of my hair without stripping the color. After drying, I couldn’t help but running my fingers throughout my strands because it was really smooth and soft. I also love that this is cruelty free and 100% vegetarian but the botanical ingredients are amazing and help so much with my dry strands. I also have a lot of split ends and frizz and this used in combo with the conditioner really helped to maintain that.

With that being said, keep in mind that it doesn't have a strong fragrance to it, just because no extra fragrance is added. It smells nice. It's just not strong. It does seem to make my hair soft. I can't attest to the long-term effects yet, but overall, I think this is a great product.

This shampoo wasn't horrible though. It washes my hair well, smells decent too. I do still need to use a special product to clean the minerals from my hair as well, but I would probably use this shampoo again.

This shampoo is great and I will be buying it again. It washes out easily and doesnt leave my hair feeling gross just perfect and clean.

It does really great in my hair and it lathers up nicely. I absolutely love the smell of it. It's not over powering in my opinion. I highly recommend.

It does smell fresh, just don’t expect ocean. It did leave my hair clean and fresh without any residue or feeling like my hair was stripped. I like that it’s not tested on animals.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was excited to try the Alba Botanica Ocean Surf shampoo and conditioner. I love that these products are free from animal testing, artificial colors, synthetic fragrances, parabens, phthalates, sulfates and petroleum. It has a decent scent, but leaves me disappointed, as I have long curly and damaged hair and hoped that this product would at least help moisturize or leave my hair somewhat manageable after a shower. I had to use a LOT of shampoo just to get a decent lather, and I had to use more than most other conditioners. The conditioner would rinse out completely, leaving hair ‘squeaky’, but tangly and hard to brush after a shower.

My hair feels refreshed and super clean after using this shampoo. It is sulfate free so I do feel I have to use a bit more then other shampoos, but that’s ok with me. My only issue is that I really do not like the look of the packaging.
