This is great! It's not just an exercise game, but also delivered very interesting game content. And the Joy-Con can even measure your heartbeat and tell you if you are doing the just enough exercises or not. I can play this with my wife all a long time.
Also, the voice guide is pretty good too.
I'm getting married next year, so trying to slim down but I absolutely hate going to the gym! I bought this to try and it is perfect. If you're a fitness master you probably won't get much out of these workouts, but for beginners and people looking for a simple workout routine this is awesome. The adventure mode is really cool and there's also minigames and sets you can choose from (abs, legs, shoulders, etc) depending on how much time you have. You can customize the difficulty level as well. I find it very hard to motivate myself to workout but this game is very motivating and makes working out... dare I say... fun.
This product is great for someone who love video games and dislikes exercise. Benefits include not having to leave your house to exercise, not having to pay for a gym membership, and a genuinely compelling and enjoyable exercise regiment that has you feeling sore but proud of yourself!
The game itself is a bit silly but I got over judging that aspect and it was perfectly fine for an adult. The main reason to buy Ring is to get you moving and this game sure does that. It starts off easy with explanations of everything going on. Don’t feel like listening to it then just follow the character’s motions on the screen. I don’t think there really is a wrong way to do it as the goal is to move. Before this I used the Fitness Boxing game and it got boring real fast as it is very repetitive. I can see already that Ring Fit Adventure mixes it all up nicely. There is one drawback - the running in place can get noisy (there is an option to do an alternative squatting move which I have not yet tried). If you want to get yourself back into moving around and sweating this game will do it. I also really like that if you aren’t into the game itself, you can just do the exercises. I will tell you that as I type I can feel my muscles reacting to the workout.
It’s even better than I expected! I’m a 31 year old relatively active lady, I used to exercise and weight light pretty extensively over the last couple years and felt burned out and wanted a change of pace that didn’t feel like so much pressure. Today I logged a 25 minute workout and by bedtime I’m sore. I can’t wait to play again tomorrow. It’s a great game for the whole family all of my kids ranging from 4-10 love it and take turns playing. Today we had fun taking turns playing the mini games together too.
I have trouble finding motivation to exercise because I find it so boring, but this game genuinely made exercising fun. I was worried about the in place jogging since I live in an upper apartment, but the game provides a silent mode in which you can do squats to make your character run. The game also lets you customize its difficulty based on fitness level. As someone who isn't very fit, I put it on moderate mode for someone new to exercising and worked up a sweat without over-exerting myself. I honestly really enjoy this game and would recommend it to people who want to incorporate more movement into their day.
