Q: can they go in tye freezer

Please note that plastics are less flexible when cold or frozen and may break if dropped. Q: I understand that the bases of these contianers store easily by nesting them, but I have not found an easy way to store the lids. Can you explain how I can do this easily?

A: You can use a large shallow container (plastic or bottom of a box) to store them on end.
submitted byElsie - 2 years agoA: Thanks for your recommendation to "put the lids on top of each other according to size" but unfortunately the tumble over quite easily and your other recommendation to "stack them upright" is what I am currently doing and I'm still not satisfied based on the previous ease I had with your other products. Maybe your next generation design takes this into consideration.

The lids for the Brilliance do not nest or stack on each other, unlike the EasyFindLids food storage system. We usually just recommend to put the lids on top of each other according to size, or stack them upright.

Yeah don’t get these. Once you put them in the fridge, the lid seals onto the container and makes it VERY hard to open. Like strain your arm muscles and break your nails hard to open. I have to get my husband to open them every time. It’s a shame bc it’s a good product otherwise but I’m not getting anymore.

Don't waste your money on these! I bought the set, hoping for some nice reuseable containers. I hand wash and don't microwave in them. Despite that, I had the edge of one crack off after just one use. Another has started getting hairline cracks up the side after a few uses. I contacted the company for the warranty, and have gotten no response despite providing photos of the damage. Huge waste of money.

Horrible product. I try to open this container and the pieces break off. I was just trying to get some food and then it just breaks off. It’s not my fault. These things need to be way more easier to open.

While they are great when they are new. The lids start breaking at about one year. This is without any abuse, and top rack dishwasher. I bought myself and my daughter in law large sets. The clips that hold the lid on start breaking about the same time, Some of the lids cracked up bad.

I made sure to read the reviews, so I'm dreading they cracking BUT I'm going to enjoy them along the way. My soup doesn't spill!!!! I'm always on the run and I throw everything in my backpack before heading to work. I sometimes don't want to take my lunchbag and with these I no longer have to!! Love them, even if according to other reviews they aren't too durable. I'm ok with that.

I bought this product because it advertised that it could handle reheating temperatures of up to 350*, I am very disappointed to say that after only 3 to 6 months of use the containers began to crack and leak my food all over my lunch box and hot plate. I will not be spending my hard earned money on this product any longer.

This is the best food storage I have! I have tried a lot of other brands but this is by far my favorite! It is super easy to clean and different sizes comes with it. I find my vegetables last longer with this storage.

I like the more expensive clear plastic containers. But they have started cracking (splitting). I just lost 3 in the last couple of days. I am careful, and follow the warnings, for example I never put them on the bottom rack of the dishwasher. Bottom Line: There is a serious flaw in these containers so I will not purchase any more Rubbermaid containers.

I bought two sets of containers that included a total of 4 of this size container (2 in each set). 3 out of 4 of these have cracked. I have not dropped any of them, never put them in the freezer, and they have gotten microwaved for 1.5 minutes a handful of times each. I really like the idea of these containers and love that they are leakproof, but they should NOT be cracking so easily with light usage.

I have had my Rubbermaid Brilliance in all sizes and I love them. I don't know what others are doing with theirs but they last for years. 4 years in and I would not trade them in. Actually I moved over from the traditional Rubbermaid storage containers to the Brilliance collection. Rubbermaid us very good quality. They may scratch but don't break. If they do you are doing something wrong. Love the fact that they are clear and have the snap lid. Bug proof. Not fresh seal tho. But I'm sure you'll improve that soon.

Rubbermaid will only warranty them for 90 days. The packaging states its okay to use in freezer, microwave and dish washer on top rack. However, if you call Rubbermaid and ask what causes cracks, they’ll tell you, all three actions will most likely cause cracks. It wont happen over night, but the product will crack eventually. Ive had mine for 2 years, and use them daily.

Hi As of 3/6/2024 Rubbermaids warranty is 120 days from proof of purchase of the product for our brilliance line. It has never has been 90 days. The only thing that causes cracking is misuse of the product for ex.( heating the product in the microwave for 3 mins) per the use and care for our brilliance line the product is to be heated in the microwave for 30 seconds, if the contents needs longer a cool down period is required in between. I purchased these when they first came out. I can't believe these are still on the market. They crack and are not durable and once they stain (which doesn't take long) that's it!!!!! The "look" drives you to them, thinking that at long last you've found something great or a wonderful housewarming gift, only to see the reality behind the brands lies. This product does not deliver...the craftsmanship is bad and doesn't hold up. Good luck with a refund! Shame on you Rubbermaid!!!???!!!

There good when new but they do not hold up very good at all.The clips fall of and the plastic get’s tiny little cracks on the bottom and there leak unfortunately at that point.It’s a big mess out of my own experience when that happens.

I have several brilliance containers. Lettuce stays crispy fresh for 2 weeks. I put containers and lids in dishwasher with no drying out on the seals. They truly seal and I don't use anything else

I owned the older rubbermaid with the red lids, had issues with them bubbling and staining. Bought these as an upgrade. Very disappointed because the containers cracked, stained, did not hold up. I do Iike the lids and the fact that they have good seals.
