When attaching the lids to the bases, try lining the lids up with the base correctly first. Then firmly press down on the center of the lids until you hear the click.

Big and durable

I love that I don’t have to split up my left overs between two plastic bowls. This holds soups and roasts perfectly. The lids can be a bit tight which makes them hard to close. But all in all I am satisfied!

Great for large gathering food containers
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Rubbermaid 11.7 cup Take Alongs containers are ideal for storing food for large gatherings. Their size is great and they are easy to clean. I have used this brand before, and they have worked well for me. However, I would not recommend reheating food with tomato sauce in these containers, as it can stain the bowls.

Do not purchase.
One container lid would not click on either container. I didn’t know til just recently because I have not had to use both until recently then I saw that it wouldn’t close properly. I’m very disappointed that I can’t return it and only one lid works. Do not purchase this.

They are very durable and sturdy, though the lid is kind of difficult to get on and snap into place for whatever reason. It is quite wide and would be able to lay nicely on the counter or refrigerator depending on what’s inside.

I used both containers for Christmas cookies and was happy to see my cookies stayed fresh and didn’t smell like plastic even after the first use, I did wash them before as instructed.
