Safety 1st Safety Essentials Childproofing Kit - White 46pc

We recieved this as a stellar panel review and I wanted to love it but…. These products have one super big issue. Nothing is able to stick on the walls. Everything has to be screwed into drawers or cabinets. All very perminate, so I guess if you own your house it'd be great, but if you are renting or are uninterested in destroying your cabinets and drawers this product is not for you.

(This review is based on a product received from the Stellar Testing Product Panel). I received the Safety 1st Safety Essentials Kit just as I needed some baby proofing items for my house. The items in the kit was exactly what I was looking for. My very active baby has been opening drawers and trying to play with the electrical plugs. The kit had everything I need to baby proof my house. The electrical safety plugs were exactly what I needed to keep my baby safe from electrocuting himself and there was plenty to plug most of the outlets around my house! The cabinet and drawer latches were perfect from keeping my active baby from pulling open drawers. They were easy to install and work amazingly well. The only thing I didn't get to use was the Grip 'n Twist Door knob covers since we have a different kind of door handles which is why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5. Overall, this kit has been a lifesaver in our household!

The safety first essential kit that I received from stellar product testing panel is amazing. This kit good to help prevent little ones from getting into things or open doors or cabinets. I think there is a good variety of product in the box. My favorite item in the box is the cabinets locks it prevents my Toddler from open up the cabinets and making a mess. I would one hundred percent recommend this to my friends and family because everyone needs to make sure they baby proof.

I received this kit from the Stellar Product Testing Panel. This safety first kit is perfect for baby proofing in your home. The outlet covers fit snug and prevent babies from being able to stick anything (including their tiny fingers) in the outlet. My toddler wasn't able to remove them, as they fit nice and snug. The door knob covers prevent toddlers from being able to open doors. I used this on my basement door so my toddler couldn't open this, preventing a potentially dangerous situation from happening. She's not tall enough to reach the knob just yet, but holding her up and letting her try the door know she wasn't able to turn it. The reason I gave 4 stars was the drawer and door proofing. My toddler was still able to pull the door open slightly and stick her fingers in. I was worried she would shut her finger in the drawer/door, so I decided not to use these. Overall, the kit is great to get a start on baby proofing. It could be made even better if they included furniture anchors.

I had higher hopes for this kit, I personally thought this kit was going to have more options than it did it in. We didn't need the door knob protectors so we ended up lending those to a friend of ours who needed them, our favorite items in this kit were the latches for the cabinets as my middle child is all about trying to get into everything within reach right now. The latches allow us to safely look up all cabinets that we want to keep the young ones out of but they are still easy enough our 12 year old can access what she needs to without our help. I do with there was more variety and maybe different types of latch options but I'm not exactly what I would describe what I'm looking for. As a mother of two (4y and 16mo) safe guarding my home is essential, however not all kits are created equal. While this Safety First Essential Kit is great - it could be better. The kit includes great basics such as outlet covers and cabinet /drawer latches, however my favorite is the grip n' twist door knob covers. Even my almost 5 yo can't work them so its great to keep kids out of our linen closet (where we keep our meds and cleaners), garage door and pantry door (no sneaking snacks!). My only wish was that the kit also came with oven knob covers and cabinet slide clock. (I received the product through the Steller Product Testing Panel.)

I received this product through the Stellar Product Testing Panel. First off, the outlet covers are great. I have used other brand's outlet covers, and they stood out so much. These blend in and my son can't figure out how to take them off (he did figure out other ones that had multiple parts!) The cabinet & drawer latches are super simple, therefore probably the best ones we've had. I've tried the magnetic ones... and let me tell you... some drawers are now permanently closed. Love these! I was not a fan of the door knob covers. They are super bulky, and difficult even for adults to use. I haven't found anything to protect the door knobs, but I guess I will have to cross that bridge when I get there.

As a busy mom of two, my youngest being 10 months old, keeping my children and home safe is a huge priority! My little one is into everything! In the past we have tried a few different products so when I had the chance to test this via Stellar Product Testing Panel I was so excited! I loved the variety of the pack, and that there were different options but they all did not fit for our lifestyle. Functionality is important to me, as is design and I did not love the way these products looked. The cabinet latches were definitely a favorite, while the door knob covers unfortunately did not fit on any of our knobs. I think this kit would be great for someone who is looking to secure doors, drawers, cabinets, and outlets simply and easily. I would recommend it with the caveat that it is simple, and that it only fits standard knobs.

I was excited for a convenient multi-pack of baby proofing items to take to our rental property on our vacation. Super easy to pack! The plug covers and door knob covers were essential. Unfortunately, the door knob covers were a bit challenging to snap together because they were too small for the door knobs. I was able to get them on and they served their purpose, but they did not spin like the directions say they should and the bases were so stretched that they didn't touch/align. See picture. There were no instructions on how to get them off but I finally figured out that a butter knife worked great for popping the latches loose to remove the knob covers. I would have also preferred the cupboard latches to have been stick on, rather than requiring screws, which would have made this kit absolutely perfect for vacations! I'm thankful Stellar Product Testing Panel gave me the opportunity to try this baby proofing kit.

The Safety 1st Safety Essentials Kit is a quick and easy way for families to do a first round of baby proofing as little ones get more curious. The kit included more than enough plug protectors to cover every wall outlet in our home, and I love they're a clear/opaque that blends into the outlet and that they fit flush. My toddler has pretty much left them alone, which is truly a feat! The doorknob covers didn't work for our door handles, but they were a snap (literally!) to install on my parents' doorknobs for when they babysit. The latches work, but they were my least favorite piece to install -- they require screwing in directly to the cabinets, and the latches sometimes get in the way when I'm quickly trying to get into a drawer. But again, they were up for the challenge when my toddler tried to open our knife drawer. Overall, I think this is a great baby proofing kit! I received this baby proofing item from the Stellar Review panel. It included a variety of items to help make my house safer for my busy toddler! There were lots of outlet covers and the door knob covers give me peace of mind so she cannot get out the door or accidentally lock herself in/out! The cabinet latches are the item I need most but they do take a little more time and assembly than I had hoped but seem to be working to prevent her from constantly getting into things! Overall I would recommend this product to help ensure the safety of your little one.

I received the Safety 1st Safety Essentials Kit from the Stellar Product Testing Panel. I was underwhelmed by the variety of this kit. The outlet covers our effective for my little one as she doesn't attempt to pull them out. We only have mostly only lever handles in our home, so unfortunately the door knob covers were not as useful. The cabinet and door latches were great for us. I would have preferred if there was an option that would have allowed up to not have to screw the latches into the cabinets and drawers. Overall I would have preferred a kit with more options.

I received this kit from the stellar review panel. I loved this kit. I immediately installed the drawer locks and they worked great, and they were very easy to install. The outlet covers are also very easy to use and my baby can't take them out. I have peace of mind knowing she can't get into the cabinets or get electrocuted. The only part of this kit I didn't find useful were the doorknob covers simply because I don't have round doorknobs. Otherwise, it would have been just as useful as the other things included. I'm so thankful to have had the opportunity to review this, I do recommend this product, and if you don't have round doorknobs I would simply recommend purchasing the products separately if you can find them that way. Great product, it will give you peace of mind, it's definitely baby proof!!!

This kit was sufficient for a two-bedroom, two-bathroom apartment—easy to install and performs its job perfectly. Our 18-month-old toddler tested the kit, and it didn't fail. The outlet plugs are challenging to remove, which is beneficial. However, be aware that the plugs are matte white and may be noticeable on colored walls. The cabinet latches use adhesive that doesn't damage furniture, but I'm uncertain about ease of removal after baby proofing. Cabinet latches also work well for pet proofing; our cat is now annoyed by being unable to open the treat cabinet. Door knob covers are a bit tricky initially, but you quickly get used to them. I recommend using them only on doors you really don't want your child to open; our toddler gets locked in rooms frequently now. Overall, the kit is excellent, containing essential baby proofing items. I would recommend the kit to anyone with kids. This kit has a good amount of each item to cover most if not all your needs. These items are very sturdy and I do believe they will last my kiddos whole toddlerhood. The door knob covers are difficult to open which is great in knowing they won't come off, but they may just stay there forever. I would definitely get these again. I will start by saying something positive, which is that I always appreciate the child safety packages that come with an assortment of products. So much better value! The Safety 1st Safety Essentials Kit is a great value for the number of items it comes with, and overall gets the job done. However, I can't really think of anything outstanding about the products that makes this kit stand out against its competitors. Let's start with the cabinet latches. If your child is anything like mine, she easily ends up getting through the safety product. In particular, I've been trying to find a durable cabinet latch because she always weasels her way through it, and unfortunately this product didn't stand the test either! Although she didn't get the drawer completely open, which is a win, she gets the drawer open just enough to fit her hand in! The kit also includes socket covers which we can never have enough of! We also bring them to the grandparents homes so their sockets are also covered when my little one spends time there. These are pretty user friendly, which is great! Past ones we have had are difficult even for adults to get off. But it wasn't the case with these. As for the door knob covers, we immediately said no to these. Although they are certainly keeping my toddler from getting out the door, we realized immediately how difficult the plastic casing is to get back off of the door. I even nipped my finger! This kit had everything I could need to get your home prepped and setup for baby proofing. The variety is great! The plug protectors are secure, a little difficult to push in since you need some force but overall very efficient. These are by far my favorite since my toddler is fascinated by the outlets. The door knob covers are the only reason I'm removing one star. They are a little flimsy and easy for my toddler to remove them from the door. Out door knobs are a little larger too so they didn't fit very well for being universal. It only took him one day to figure it out. Overall I would recommend this to a friend and gift it as well! I received this baby proofing item from the Stellar Product Testing Panel. I really like the outlet covers. They are easy to take on and off for parents, but hard enough that a baby will not be able to remove them. The door knob covers work well once they are on, but were a little tricky to put on the knobs.

I'm a mom of 2 littles (12 months and 3yr old) and always looking for ways to childproof and make my apartment safer. I liked some parts of the kit more than others, here are the pros and cons : 1) PLUG PROTECTORS - Came with 30 which is too many for my small apartment but I loved these!! They look great and do the job well, stopped my little ones from playing with the outlets. Only pros for the plug protectors. 2) CABINET AND DRAWER LATCHES - Came with 12 but after installing one, I had no energy for more. Tedious, but others might find these worth the effort. Cons: -Installation requires 4 screws (which they come with), I rent and don't want to deal with removing these when I move. - my 3yr old was able to bypass these, but worked for my 1 year old. Limited usefulness. - needs a template for installation but only comes with 1. The template sticks on but loses stickiness after multiple uses. Pros: -latches are hidden from view so they look aesthetically pleasing 4) DOOR KNOB COVERS- Includes 4. These were confusing to install and I had to watch a YouTube video. Also my 3yr old figured out how to get past them after a few tries. I found these to be pointless. Overall I would recommend the kit depending on your home and safety needs.
