Sally Hansen Microwavable Wax for Body Kit - 6oz

I have been using the all over body wax by sally Hansen for years. I wax my brows, my lips, and my bikini area. Loved that wax. Worked amazing, no residue, minimal if any irritation and at waxing salons I always get irritation. I was running low and searched and searched but couldn’t find the one I had so I bought this one hoping it would be okay. It’s completely different it’s messy and sticky. It’s awful. So while yes I’m sure with a lot of time and practice it could potentially work well, why change to an entire different type of wax. I went out the next day and bought Gigi wax and it actually is better than the original sally hansen. So if you were looking for the old formula, don’t try this one just head out and buy Gigi all purpose wax it’s pretty similar.

I’ve used this product on myself for years and loved it — until I tried the new formula for the first time two nights ago. I’m an experienced waxer with slightly sensitive skin, and I truly thought this was a product I could trust. Unfortunately, not anymore. When I purchased it online, I didn’t realize the formula had changed until I opened the box. I do like the new container design, but the formula itself is a huge disappointment. Immediately after pulling the strips, my skin began to burn. I haven’t waxed in a couple of months, so at first, I thought it might just be me. However, I noticed that many hairs were left behind, which has never happened before. The next day, my skin was still sensitive and slightly burned, and by the following day, the areas I waxed were red, rough, and flaky — almost like a very thin scab without any bleeding. My wax wasn’t too hot, I didn’t overlap strips, and I followed all directions carefully. Despite that, this new formula still damaged my skin and failed to remove all the hair. Bottom line: This new version is harsh, ineffective, and not worth the risk. I’m officially done with this product.

Bring back the old formula!!!! There are hundreds of reviews asking for this! This product is garbage!!! I only gave it one star because I have to otherwise it’s a zero for me.

This is one of the worst things I’ve ever tried!!! It sticks and doesn’t come off or it rips your skin off!!! This is nothing like the old formula!

Why did we change the formula the old one was perfect. This stuff is trash. Stays on like a sticky mess!

I used it for my face and it doesn't really get all the hairs out I had to wax it about 4times I like the other body wax they have please put it back in stores because everywhere I look the old one is out of stock.

This wax is a NIGHTMARE. I had been using Sally Hansen wax and wax strips for 20+ years then they switched the formula to this. It leaves a sticky residue on the skin that’s hard to remove and it gets everywhere. The strips are more difficult to remove and pull the skin really hard. Somehow the container leaked in my linen closet and ruined everything in its miserable blue path as dripped down each shelf. It has even found its way on my cat. My only explanation is now it’s capable of teleporting itself to destroy other aspects of my life. Just don’t do it. Maybe this is Sally’s way of getting out of the wax business.

I used the old product for almost the last 20 years. Never ONCE had an issue. This new product is junk. You have hundreds of reviews all saying the exact same thing, yet your replies identify that the change was based on customer feedback and was to make it vegan, blah blah blah. Your customers are screaming at you to bring the old formula (that actually worked) back. I noticed the old product was getting harder to find so my partner bought me 15 containers of the old formula. I was hoping it was just a weird time frame where the original formula wasn’t in stock. I just finished my last container of the old formula and have been searching high and low for a restock. Decided to search online if it was discontinued and came across the hundreds of complaints to your company about the new formula and the fact that you changed something that has effectively worked for YEARS. You cannot say this was an intelligent business move, as you’ve lost so many customers as a result. Do a quick search online and there are hundreds of pages of people asking for alternative recommendations because your new formula is junk. Listen to the customers that have stood by your company for years and bring back the product that was effective, highly rated, and didn’t injure your customers! Would give this -10000000 stars if I could!

I bought this and tried it different ways, tried to make it hotter, used it with baby powder on clean dry skin, grew the hair out longer but every time it didn’t work. I tried to return it but it was past the date. I miss the old formula that worked so well. Please bring it back! This new one ripped my skin multiple times and I have been waxing for years. Very disappointed.

Don’t waste your time and destroy your skin

I bought this thinking it was like the original one it's not you use the strip it doesn't even pull it off takes so many clothes strips to get the wax off then your face stays so sticky the oil doesn't even help to get it off and no matter how many times you wash your face it's got like a tacky feeling Not happy was a waste of money I like the original

This is some of the WORST wax, I’m getting married this weekend and decided to wax my underarms I lieu of the usual shave. Horrible idea, it barely pulled any hair out but completely destroyed my skin!! There goes my strapless dress with some horrible red patchy underarms :(

Please I really miss the old formula (the light brown color) this new is not even close to the first one that I've used for long time and it was my stelar wax. Why do you changed it? It was spectacular and now the blue one is just ok. I have to try 3 to 4 times for the hair to go off... I am sad

I wish I would’ve taken time to read the reviews! I didn’t realize there was a new formula but quickly was surprised at how terrible this new formula is! It doesn’t work! The old formula was flawless! Easy to use. Easy to apply. Worked perfect. This one reminds me of sticky slime.

A product that doesn't work to pull hairs out but will RIP THE SKIN RIGHT OFF

Bought this becuase I loved the original wax and like other review this stuff is so sticky like glue someone said. It's true I would rather have the old formula back this is stuff.

I bought this in a pinch as my normal wax wouldn’t arrive for another day, and that was my first mistake. This stuff is so sticky almost like it’s glue, it also doesn’t stick to the strips that are provided. Oh and to make it worse, it didn’t even remove any hair, in fact it actually removed my skin.

Shocked this is even a product. Horrible. Seriously shocked. Shame on you Sally Hansen.
