  • A: Yes, look at the description on the right and you will see it says Belgian Waffle Maker. The other type that is not Belgian is called "Classic waffle maker" these days.

Works great, but not easy to clean

I've had this waffle maker for almost thirty years. It make great waffles, but it's a bear to clean! I wish the metal cooking plates were removable. Because they're not, you cannot submerge the waffle maker in water to clean it. Also there is no on/off button, so as soon as you plug it in, it turns on. Mine dropped on the floor and broke all apart this morning, and I will look for one that is easier to clean for my next one.

Hi Mcgrrl, Salton Belgian Waffle Maker model WM1075BK offers a cleaning tip in the 'care and cleaning' section of the instruction booklet. "If some of the filling has adhered to the cooking plates, pour a small amount of cooking oil onto the baked-on food and allow to stand for 5 to 10 minutes. Wipe with paper towels."

Love this product!

Excellent quality and long lasting!

I have had this waffle maker for over 20 years. It still makes amazing waffles. I would buy another one except this one still works beautifully!

Buy something else

Already sent in a review. The waffle iron did not heat up enough to bake the waffles which were still gooey after 15 minutes. I threw it out. Salton isn't the reputable company it once was. Do not buy this product.

Doesn't work

I bought this 2 weeks ago. Didn't know it was made in China. Well, after 12 minutes my waffles were still uncooked with steam coming out. I've been using Salton appliances for 50 years and thought it was still a reputable company. Boy was I wrong. Do NOT purchase this product. Mine went into the garbage this morning.

Truly sorry your Salton Waffle Maker model WM1075BK did not meet your expectations. This model waffle maker has a 2 year warranty with Salton. I would not recommend discarding an item a with warranty. While under warranty, a defective appliance can be repaired or replaced. Any issue with your Salton appliance is quickly resolved with an email to our service department. Email us: service@salton.com
