The colors were faded, the picture wasn't super sharp, and we were using our TV a lot of movies. It took a lot of convincing for my wife to let me upgrade. A sale came around and she finally said yes. TV and sound system together have made a huge difference to movie night. My wife even commented "I didn't think our old TV was that bad, but holy cow!"

While I am very pleased with the features and picture quality of the new QN90D, one thing I would change is to add backlighting to the remote control, which would turn on when you pick it up.

Recently purchased a QE85QN90DATXXU and I cannot recommend it unfortunately I am a huge Samsung fan and have many of their products but the anti-glare coating on this TV is terrible with horizontal and vertical banding making daytime viewing of any dark scenes practically unwatchable, check out my pictures for evidence. Not sure if other sizes are also affected but stay away from the 85" version.

The biggest improvement for me is "One Remote" works my spectrum cable box. It immediatly links to 3 different modes for sound, i.e. gaming chair, and 2 types of headphones. It will run 2 sound systems together or seperate. All and all, I have owned Samsung TV's for 20 years. This model is the top of the line in terms of enjoyment and ease of use!

When it comes to Samsung TV, it comes with different style how user requires to access device settings. It is not easy to use. Bixby is good. I can see notification when JetBot cleaner start or stop. It is very nice to have from TV. But incorporating with third party applications to work with device TV, it turns out to be problematic, or even just sleeping or shutoff TV and leave the speaker on is such a complicate way to deal with. The OS from TV has many (too much) menus. Keep it simple please. Look at Google Andriod TV, no kidding!

It varies so much that it is difficult to manage. Tried many of the automatic and manual features that affect sound and video with no luck. Picture quality was better with my OLED. hug2Sbbbb, Thank you for sharing your experience with volume fluctuations. Please try the following which may help resolve this: 1. Turn off the Sound Sensor switch by using the button at the bottom of the TV, beneath the Samsung logo. With the TV on, you can push the button to the left to turn the sound sensor on or to the right to turn it off. 2. Try disabling some of the TV's intelligent functions, as these will automatically analyze and adjust your sound which may cause your volume to fluctuate. Go to Settings > All Settings > General & Privacy > Intelligent Mode Settings and select Intelligent Mode to turn off all the functions or select each option to turn it off. 3. Please also make sure your TV’s firmware is updated. You can check this by going to: Menu > Settings > Support > Software Update. I hope these tips help. Colors are vivid and blacks are really black, with no blooming. Paired with the Samsung HW-Q990 Atmos soundbar, it's a perfect match. I sit about 11 feet away and the 75" is the perfect size.

It stood apart from the rest because of the oled-like quality in bright living rooms. My only gripe is the sound which is not great, especially during dialogs, but then again that's my excuse to buy a sound system! Overall I would recommend.
