Sometime in the past 3M must have changed to a thinner crepe paper for their masking tape. It is impossible to peel the tape off the role without it sticking. Other people are complaining about the same thing. It's not worth saving a few pennies on manufacturing if it makes the product worthless.see moreof the reviewer's review

I bought this tape and have used your products. This roll is like some of the other complaints. I have to use a sharp knife once it rips and tears. It also seems to have and overlay of tape on the sides. The product just doesn't seem to be up to par.see moreof the reviewer's review

Bought this tape last week and tried to use it today and can not get it off the roll no matter how easy and slowly I try, it just starts ripping/tearing from the get-go. I have been a solid fan of 3M and Scotch products for 45 years and am brand loyal some 98% when purchasing. Two recent purchases have disappointed: the decorative masking tape, and the traditional, off-white masking tape.
