I want to like this product, but it has to be better. The head ripped apart on the 3rd use. I like that there aren't any metal shards on the grill, but I'm not sure this is durable enough for use on a hot grill.

Sticks to the grates, rips after 2 uses and difficult to clean between the grates. I would not recommend.

Not so happy with this product. I purchased 1 and within 2 cleanings i already have a hole... Did I do something wrong? Im sure I don't need a college degree to wet a brush and slide up and down to clean a grill
1 reply from Consumer Service team - 27 days ago
We’re sorry to hear that BBQ Daddy didn’t meet your expectations. This issue often occurs when the grill exceeds 350°F. To clean your grate effectively, submerge the scrubbing head in water (colder water works better) until it is fully saturated. Then, apply it to the hot grate. For the best results, re-saturate the scrubbing head frequently while working in sections. We want to improve your experience. Please reach out to us at support@scrubdaddy.com and reference Review ID: 347539272.
Ripped open on first use

I bought this after reading many positive recommendations online and was looking forward to ditching our old wooden scraper that never seemed to get the grill as clean as I liked. However, on the very first use of the BBQ Daddy (with the grill at 350F and a bowl of ice water for dunking), the scrubber head ripped open. I had even used the metal scraper beforehand to get rid of the biggest chunks. It seemed to do a decent job of cleaning, but I have to say I’m pretty disappointed to have it falling apart so quickly.

Sponge fell off of head

I used this product all of last year and it worked just fine. That is the only reason I’m not giving this a lower rating. The brush worked well, but did get pretty torn up about half-way through the grilling season. I just purchased a head replacement to start this season and on FIRST USE, the sponge fell off the head. I used it exactly how I did all of last year. And there’s no way for the user to easily reset the sponge into place. Very frustrating. This is not an inexpensive product, but I’ve always been able to somewhat justify that with Scrub Daddy products due to the quality. That doesn’t seem not seem to be the case here unfortunately.

Total crap! Lost a screw that holds together the metal scraper and the spongy part broke off its clamp all during the first use. Doesn't deserve even 1 star. Dont waste your money.

I bought this because I found wire pieces on my meats from my old wire brush it works great the first time but after that the brush fell out of the metal piece with the teeth to hold it in place Try to put it back together and it will not stay even if I bend the teeth in to the brush there got to be a better way to connect those two pieces because it is a joke the way it was made never would I recommend this tool very disappointing. The idea is great construction part fails miserably

It requires too much pressure to actually scrub the grates. Not worth the money in any way shape or form!

We're sorry to hear that BBQ Daddy didn't meet your expectations. When using BBQ Daddy, heat grill to about 300°F (do not exceed 350°F).* Submerge scrubbing head in water (colder is better) until saturated and apply to hot grate. For best results re-saturate often, working in sections. For additional assistance, please contact us at support@scrubdaddy.com

Love this company and it does a great job cleaning but it already has holes in it after the second use. I had much higher expectations.
1 reply from Consumer Service team - 2 months ago
Thank you for sharing your comments, Jacob. We’re sorry to hear about your disappointment and we’re here to help. We typically see this issue when BBQ Daddy is used on a grill above 350°. Cleaning a grill with its temperature at 300° and no higher than 350° will result in maximum use of the scrubbing head. Using the notched, stainless-steel scraper to loosen any stuck-on materials before dunking the scrubbing head into cold water (the colder, the better) and scrubbing your grill clean will also help get the most out of the scrubbing head. For additional assistance, please contact us at support@scrubdaddy.com or 844-35-SCRUB (72782), share your experience with us, reference Smile Shop Review ID 345161481, and we'll take care of you.

I used this on my porcelain coated grill grates. I thought I checked if it was safe for that, but really not. Regardless, it did a fantastic job cleaning, but it fell apart ridiculously. This is supposed to be safer than wire grill brushes, but i spent another 10 minutes getting the hose out and spraying off all the little broken pieces of "Heat-resistant ArmorTec Steel mesh with interwoven stainless steel fiber." This shouldn't be used on procelain coated grates anyhow...my mistake, but that doesn't excuse the one-time, just as dangerous as a wire brush, use. I think I'll just get one of those portable steamers at an auction or something and use that. Steam is certainly your friend in cleaning grates. Unfortunately the BBQ Daddy isn't durable. So not worth the cost.

Wanted to try this brush as a way to avoid the chance of metal brush wires getting into grilled food. Worked well for one or two cleanings before the padding was essentially shredded down to the point of being non functional. Back to the ol wire brush I go.

I love the idea/concept of this brush, but the execution leaves a lot to be desired... the brush separated from the yellow plastic thing that holds it in with metal teeth during the FIRST use of the brush. I wasn't brushing that hard; this just seems very frail. I see other complains about this in the product reviews as well (which I wish I had read BEFORE I bought the brush) -- are there any head design changes on the horizon to fix a clear design/product issue?

I got a bbq daddy about 6 months ago to use with my new stainless steel grill. I loved that it did not have bristles and did a good job cleaning my grill. Especially when soak with water to create that steamed clean. _x000D_ I use my grill every 2 to 3 weeks, so not overly used, yet. _x000D_ Last week the pad cover tore and became completely useless. _x000D_ Very disappointing. _x000D_ I contemplated giving a one star and decided to up it to 2 as I really like this product, until now.
