I used this on my porcelain coated grill grates. I thought I checked if it was safe for that, but really not. Regardless, it did a fantastic job cleaning, but it fell apart ridiculously. This is supposed to be safer than wire grill brushes, but i spent another 10 minutes getting the hose out and spraying off all the little broken pieces of "Heat-resistant ArmorTec Steel mesh with interwoven stainless steel fiber." This shouldn't be used on procelain coated grates anyhow...my mistake, but that doesn't excuse the one-time, just as dangerous as a wire brush, use. I think I'll just get one of those portable steamers at an auction or something and use that. Steam is certainly your friend in cleaning grates. Unfortunately the BBQ Daddy isn't durable. So not worth the cost.

Thank you for sharing your comments. We're sorry to hear about your experience and want to help you get the most from BBQ Daddy. The best results are achieved when using the notched, stainless-steel scraper to loosen any stuck-on materials before dunking the scrubbing head into cold water (the colder, the better) and using it to scrub your grill clean with the grill temperature at 300° and no higher than 350°. BBQ Daddy is not recommended for use on delicate surfaces. For additional assistance, please contact us at support@scrubdaddy.com.

Wanted to try this brush as a way to avoid the chance of metal brush wires getting into grilled food. Worked well for one or two cleanings before the padding was essentially shredded down to the point of being non functional. Back to the ol wire brush I go.

I love the idea/concept of this brush, but the execution leaves a lot to be desired... the brush separated from the yellow plastic thing that holds it in with metal teeth during the FIRST use of the brush. I wasn't brushing that hard; this just seems very frail. I see other complains about this in the product reviews as well (which I wish I had read BEFORE I bought the brush) -- are there any head design changes on the horizon to fix a clear design/product issue?

Have had this for less than a month, used it a few times and the pad quickly ripped from the yellow part that slides into the handle. Mediocre and overhyped product

I got a bbq daddy about 6 months ago to use with my new stainless steel grill. I loved that it did not have bristles and did a good job cleaning my grill. Especially when soak with water to create that steamed clean. _x000D_ I use my grill every 2 to 3 weeks, so not overly used, yet. _x000D_ Last week the pad cover tore and became completely useless. _x000D_ Very disappointing. _x000D_ I contemplated giving a one star and decided to up it to 2 as I really like this product, until now.

I've used mine 5 or 6 times now. I get it wet like the directions say before every use. It works great on my pellet smoker. Cleans the grates really well. I haven't scene any issues with the replaceable pad breaking down. Even if it does it's replaceable duh.

It is amazing how well it cleans the grill but after 3 uses I am noticing little pieces of metal left behind to the point that I feel like I need to clean the grill with another brush after each use before any food goes on. _x000D_ _x000D_ We love the scrub daddy products but this isn’t it unfortunately.

We’re sorry to hear about your disappointment with BBQ Daddy, and we want to turn things around. Your BBQ Daddy scrubbing head is made with an ArmorTech® exterior coating pliable enough to flex without splintering. Using the notched, stainless-steel scraper to loosen any stuck-on materials before using the scrubbing head is a great way to start cleaning your grill. Dunk the scrubbing head into cold water (the colder, the better), then scrub your grill clean with the grill temperature at 300° and no higher than 350° and resaturate as you clean. These techniques will give the best results and help you get the most out of the scrubbing head. For additional assistance, please contact us at 844-35-SCRUB (72782).

The thing works, no question about it. My grill grates look great afterwards. My issue is durability. The scrub pad lasts 5 or 6 cleans then completely falls apart.

I am very disappointed to have to give this review. After shark tank my wife loved this companies products so after she said honey you need to try this for you, your dad and brother. We are huge in grilling/more smoking than grilling. My father loved his my brother and mine however both fell apart on our first and second use. I wanted to like the product as much as my wife but I gave 2 stars because my father loved his.

This has been working great to clean my smoker after each use. After 2 times running it in the dishwasher the screw heads at the top are super rusted now. Definitely need a treated screw there if it is advertised as dishwasher safe. Other than that works as advertised!
