Considering its a sulfate-free shampoo, it doesnt cleanse like a clarifying shampoo would, but that makes it perfect for days inbetween when your hair is oily at the roots but your ends might get too dry from a traditional shampoo. I love using it midweek between my shampoos with sulfates, it smells lovely and I also pair it with the matching hair mask, makes my hair so soft.

This is an ok shampoo. I didn’t notice my hair being any more moisturized than it does with my regular shampoo. It has a very herbal scent, which isn’t something I prefer. It didn’t lather up very much, but my hair got clean

I think if I had another type of hair texture this shampoo would’ve been great for my hair. I’ve kept this shampoo as a once a week routine for my hair. The first time I tried it my hair dried very oddly and was almost more oily. I didn’t like the texture of my hair when I used it. Now I use it once and then follow up with a cleansing shampoo and my hair doesn’t get too oily from it. If your hair really needs the moisture then this shampoo is it but I’d be weary if your hair is not needing a moisture shampoo.

I received this shampoo for free in exchange for my honest opinion. This shampoo has a nice consistency and slip to it. It also lathers well. I have moisture lacking hair and this helped to bring moisture back to my hair. Overall, I will purchase this shampoo in the future.

I’ve been using this product for years and it’s the only thing I’ve liked of “cheaper” products. It doesn’t make my scalp dry out, although my hair does get oily after 2 days due to the formula change. It has oils which makes the hair greasy. I wish it was lighter on my hair , I’ll still use though until I find something similar and less greasy.

Shea moisture has become a very influential brand, especially in my house. We have 4C coily hair and Shea moisture makes a great shampoo and conditioner that locks in moisture and preserves my curls. The Shea moisture butter, retention shampoo, really really helps my hair to stay moist and it cleans it and removes all build up my scalp and my hair without drying out my hair. It makes my hair so soft and manageable. I can braid it twisted do whatever I want because it’s not tangled, but the moisture and water allows it to be more manageable and I’m able to tame my mane.

I have wavy textured hair and this made my hair so dry even after 3 days not washing I had frizz everywhere. Made my roots greasy. Overall so disappointed it made my hair so dry to the point I made an appointment for a deep conditioning treatment at the salon.
