Q: Will this work with a 5 gallon water jug?

A: Hello , Thank you for your inquiry, We are sorry that the water inlet hose in the back cannot be connected to a water jugs. Because only a water source with water pressure can send water into the ice machine through the water inlet pipe. Our water inlet pipe is 1/4 inch. The other end of the water inlet pipe is a 1/2 inch interface. Normally you only need to push 2-3cm before it gets stuck. If your pipe is not suitable, we recommend that you directly find a store that sells adapters online, enter customer service, and consult with the seller specifically. Use it all the time.
I enjoy my ice machine very much. I have an RO water system set up so the ice is clean. I just wish it made more. I get about a 5 gallon bucket worth when the ice machine is full. If you ever plan on filling a cooler I would suggest that you bag the ice and freeze it. Let the ice machine continue to make more ice. Or just empty it into the cooler and keep the cooler in a cool space. I have a pelican cooler that keeps ice for long periods of time. My favorite cooler of all time. You get what you pay for.
