An excellent multitool, underrated by many
Let's make some justice to SOG PowerAccess... It is a tool, not a gadget. It works like a tool, looks like a tool and smells like a tool. It have no frills or fancy features. But all that is offered works well. Pliers are outstanding, period. Blade is good sized to work as companion for a pliers oriented tool. It is not a pocket knife, good to remember. All other tools are correct and works as expected. The lock mechanism works well. It is enough to keep the tools in place and safe, no issues on that. But the genius design is on the 1/4 bit driver. It simply works flawlessly and is so well made that makes me use that more than any other function. I am a field technician and SOG is my multitool of choice.

EDC Tool
Great EDC tool. This is a replacement to one I lost while upland hunting. Carry this always when bird hunting in case my dog pick up thorns and such. Precision pliers really help in removal of such stuff from my dog.

Discontinue this knife!
I do not recommend. I do maintenance for local school district I use my knife on a daily basis I know I’m rough on him but Leatherman last me about three years this one didn’t even last one year. What sold me on this one over a Leatherman this time was the hex bit accessory it slips under pressure didn’t work the first day now the knife lock doesn’t hold very unsafe. I did not keep my receipt so the warranty is junk. leathermen does not require receipts to be kept for 20 years I guess I’m going back to a Leatherman

Great tool except for file
I was gifted this multi tool and enjoy the tool, I never owned a SOG tool, I would carry as an edc tool, except I’m sending it back due to poor file. The file might as well be a spacer. It doesn’t have any bite or usefulness.

Great tool; needs the carrying case
Great product as is the norm for SOG; I just wish it came with a carrying case like others I've bought from them in the past

Great EDC multi tool
This is the first SOG multi tool that I have owned. I've owned several other brands of multi tool but this is my favorite EDC. The locking mechanism is a but tricky to use one handed but other than that it's a great slim multi tool. My only problem is the belt clip bent out about 1/8 of an inch and I'm not sure what to use to remove the screw that attaches it to the housing.

Nice tool assortment.
First off, The blade lock mechanism, definitely limits this to a light duty/EDC tool. That being said, it rapidly became my favorite EDC tool. The assortment of screwdriver sizes and the compound leverage pliers has saved me many trips back to my toolbox. The knife isn't good for much more then opening mail and boxes, but I've always preferred a dedicated pocket knife for anything more than that anyway. Lightweight and pocket friendly, I carry with me most places and have found it useful more times than I can count.

Chinese garbage
Owned a sog s44 for nearly 20 year. Amazing yet simple design. When i finally broke the pliers on it, I immediately looked for another SOG replacement. I settled on the access due to the size. Compared to my old S44, this thing is junk. Flimsy, thin steel, lack of attention to detail, and overall poor workmanship. I have a poorly constructed gerber multitool which is constructed and feels identical to this...cheap! I ended up boxing this back up, and headed over to ebay to buy another used S44. Im not sure if the powerlocks are any better, but if this is the type of tools SOG makes now, I'll start looking elsewhere when/if my next S44 breaks...

Great features but low quality
I purchased mine at a local Cabela's here in Alberta, Canada. I love how its light, strong pliers, good tool selection, however after a week or so the locks do not work, all tools come out and bend back way too far, this is unsafe! As well a small screwdriver has broken off with very light use. Quality is very low for this tool and since I am in Canada, the warranty doesn't make up for it either - having to send it to the US, etc. that poses a whole bunch of hassles! I think i will stick with Leatherman.

Dissapointed
Had this for almost a year now, got it at Costco so I got the nylon sheath to go with it. After a week of use however the soft side of the velcro pulled out and over time, it has just gotten worse and it barely stays closed anymore. The included bits that come with it are fine for extremely light use but if you put any amount of torque on it they slip in the holder at the top of the tool. The silver pins that hold on the plate with your angle measurements keep falling out and I just pop them back in by hand. After use in my fishing kayak without being submerged, they have accumulated rust around the screws and the wire cutters in the pliers. Good things about this multitool are the positive locking system for the knife and such, and the knife is good and sharp from the factory.

You get what you pay for
The latching system usually cannot handle the leverage and torque of basic applications. The force of application causes the tools to brake free from the latch and either move towards the closed position or, beyond the 180 degree open position and then the tool becomes lodged at some obscure angle to the device and then the tool is completely unusable at that point.... bottom line is, if you're looking for a reliable tool that feels secure during use, keep looking because this particular tool is not the one for you.

Sweet product!
Really sharp knife and I like the way to tools lock into place. A little tough to pull out a specific tool with my stubby fingers, but that's a me problem.

Perfect working tool
If you need a multitool because you work with machines you always need a tool handy but you dont like a big hefty multitool it might be for you. it has all the right tools and some more, you can carry any bits with you and it will hold them when is closed. very neat feature well done sog.

Flat head broke
I used the flat head maybe 5 to 8 times and broke it on an adjustable tightening band for a hose. It wasn't even and extreme amout of torque. No other complaints.

Very Bad Quality
I got this tool, and it is very bad quality, the blade and some parts are rusty, and the jewelry driver has snapped. The tool is very bad. The only good thing about it is the design.

Compact form factor with everything you need
I've had this multitool for 4 months now and it's great. The opening mechanism is so smooth, it's a joy to operate. The lock can be easily operated with one hand and all of the tools can be accessed from the outside. It even comes with a pocket clip which is nice if you don't want to deal with wearing a sheath on a belt. I hope this model is around for a long time!
