Description

Bye-bye blemishes! From America's #1 scrub brand*, St. Ives Apricot Acne Control Face Scrub contains 100% natural walnut shell powder to deeply exfoliate for glowing skin. The 2% salicylic acid in this scrub helps prevent acne and can also help tackle 'maskne' (acne caused by protective face masks). Adding this deep cleaning face scrub to your routine along with replacing and washing your protective face masks frequently are some ways to help combat 'maskne.' This scrub also contains apricot fruit extract, which is known to help skin feel super soft and smooth. Apricots are our thing. Our apricots come from sun-drenched California and North Africa. Our walnuts are grown in orchards in California and harvested in the fall where the shells are finely milled and polished, so they only exfoliate the outer layers of dead skin cells. Just the way we like it. This scrub is dermatologist tested, paraben free, non-comedogenic (not tending to cause blocked pores), and oil free. And it’s simple to use. Just squeeze a dime sized amount onto your fingertips and massage onto damp skin. Spread in small circular motions to wake your skin’s natural circulation. When you’re done, rinse and glow. For best results, use up to 3-4 times a week. St. Ives products are made with 100% natural moisturizers, exfoliants, and/or extracts to bring the joy of nature into our skin care products to give you soft, refreshed skin that glows. St. Ives does not test on animals anywhere in the world and is certified by PETA. When it comes to making you glow, St. believes that spending more time with nature can boost your happiness and have a serious de-stress effect of your mind, body and skin care. Q: Where's this product made from? It used to said on bottom of product made in USA but now I can't seem to find where it's made from.

submitted by Yi - 6 years ago
  • A: Unless otherwise stated specifically on the label, all of our products sold in the U.S. are manufactured in the United States. The statement found on some of our packaging "Product of (Country)" is not a statement of where the raw material is from, but rather a statement of where the product is processed. All of the ingredients used in our products are required to meet legal US standards for safety. The safety and well-being of our consumers are always the number one concern of Unilever as we manufacture and market high-quality products around the world. If you have any other questions, let us know and we'll be happy to help.

I have tried this but it just makes little tears in your skin. It made my face feel softer though. I always liked the packaging and the scent is okay

The St. Ives exfoliating scrub is the best I have tried. I like a strong exfoliating scrub, My face always feels fresh and clean after I use the scrub, and the scent is good for men and women.

Microdermabrasion in a bottle

Great! I never feel my skin so clean as I do when I use this. It really scrubs away the dirt and grime that normal face soap won’t. Almost get the same result from a microdermabrasion facial. I don’t use this everyday as a dermatologist told me it can give me micro cuts and to use sparingly.

Never ever use this it gives you micro tears in your skin and causes more break outs. I used this for years as a team because my mom liked “natural” products. But this made my troubled skin worse.

Not the best— too harsh for skin

This didn’t turn out how I expected it to be. It really didn’t do anything to my acne and I just felt like it was making my skin worse. The texture isn’t so good— it feels rough on my skin. The scent is really good, but that doesn’t matter to me in a product. The packaging is good and easy to use and won’t leak.

St. Ives Apricot Acne Control Scrub 🍊🍑

I use to use this product religiously years ago and when I heard bad things I had stopped using it, even though it did appear to help my acne. I saw it at the store and wanted to try it again out of curiosity. The best way to use it is once or twice a week and to rub it in gently not hard. I use it on my body as well as I have body acne. What works for someone else may not work for you 🤷🏼‍♀️

GARBAGE

saralaf - 2 months ago

this is not for anyone. it’s literally destroying your face. the only exfoliating products you should be using are chemical ones. the prices in this product just irritates your skin and ruin your skin barrier. its because of products like these that peoples skin gets destroyed and they wonder what they’re doing wrong. stop using this and throw it out. there have been lots of lawsuits against this brand for creating garbage like this and selling it.

As I’m typing this I can just feel it exfoliating my face! I’m 31 and I’ve been using this product since high school. I don’t use it daily, but it is a great product to use at the end of the week. It’s not too abrasive and my face always feels fresh and clean after using it.

Be careful

Be very careful with how much pressure you use with your finger tips. The walnut shell used in this product can cause really bad abrasions if pressed against skin too hard. I prefer the green tea scrub over this one.

Its okay if your skin is really really textured and has a lot of build up, but as my skin has gotten older (I’m 22 now) using such a harsh physical exfoliant is wayyyy too much, the apricot shells create tiny little cuts in your skin which are both painful and damaging.

Too coarse

I used to use this product in Jr high. It is very coarse yet doesn't really exfoliate very well. Coarse scrubs can make pores larger.

Scrubs like this are simply not for the face. Body, elbows, feet, back, sure. But on the face it does nothing but harm. Causes micro tearing, exaggerated pore size and impaired barriers.
