A: Hi KellyJ! The 40 Qt. HingeLID Latch Box is made of Polypropylene plastic, and was designed for general household storage. Most household storage purposes do not require suggested weight limitations. Our products have not been specifically tested for various weight potential, and we suggest consumers not overload them or stack more than three high. This could cause distortion or eventual damage. When storing items away, use good judgment and be mindful of the weight in each tote and place the heaviest tote on the bottom.

I bought this to use as a sensory bin for my kids. It has held up well to everything we've used it for. From rice bins, to toy car washes, to making 'potions' it has been great. Easy to close up and save for later.

Great for moving.
I bought several but they didn’t have lids. . It’s great to see the contents in these sturdy plastic containers. They were purchased to use as moving containers which made finding things much easier. I would like to have lids for them.

Check dimensions
I love this container, but measure your items carefully. Be aware the measurements given are the outer part of the lid, which extends a couple inches past the actual container. The inner container is only 15 inches in width, adding the lid makes it over 19 in. I had purchased this for a specific Christmas item that needed an 18 inch width. It’s a great container otherwise.

I’m using these to store my sons magnetic toys. They can get pretty heavy, and these containers hold well but definitely are for things lighter in weight. I love the beating able to see what’s inside and definitely helps with organizing
