Let me start off by saying I'm a fair skinned red head and I have been spray tanned at a salon but I don't really ever tan myself. I saw a girl in target on an aisle and overheard her talking about Tanologist to her friend (since it was ona display) and her tan was soooo pretty. So I bought some. Let me say the color- medium- is PERFECT. I slept in it overnight and just showered and it's not orange or fake looking at all and it's streak free! There was some user error- I exfoliated and shaved 1.5 hours before application but I was too excited to try it so that's on me. But it isn't spotty in my pores or anything. It's seriously a gorgeous shade and I used a mitt and I think it looks just as good as a professional and this was only $17! There's also a little spot in between my shoulder blade that I couldn't reach and I read about DIY extenders too late but I'll try that next time!

Malfunctioning pump

The formula is pretty good and blends okay. But 2 pumps in, the bottle pump stopped working. So the product is essentially trash now since the mousse can no longer be dispensed from the bottle.

SO STICKY. No matter how much time you spend trying to dry before getting dressed, it will always be so very sticky. Also, since it’s basically wet when you go to sleep, it leaves streaks. DO NOT BUY.

One of the most pleasant self tanning experiences I’ve had. Dries down pretty well, , blends easily, doesn’t stink, and doesn’t make me feel super sweaty. I didn’t have any problems with it transferring onto my clothes or rubbing off. It’s maybe a little too warm for my liking but I still think it looks great

How to self tan easily!!

Smells good, but I don't use it like most ppl do! I use a squirt of this mousse and mix it, in my hands, with a squirt of any kind of body moisturizer of your choosing..That way,.it glides on easily, is moisturizing and gives u a nice tan all at the same time! U can use ANY instant self tanner that way! I mix all of myself tanners with regular body moisturizers that way. I also use the same on my face! Works every time, make your self tanner last a lot longer and moisturizes your skin perfectly!

I’ve tried almost every brand, and the ones marketed for great smell stink. I don’t really care as long as the final results look good. But I was blown away by this product. It smells floral, and dies fast, feels amazing on my skin, and was not streaky. It’s still developing, but the initial impression was amazing compared to other products I’ve ever tried

Beautiful color, easy to apply, however this brand does not last. It washes off in a day, even when you sleep in it and shower the next day. Really disappointed as the jergens I used years ago lasted and was buildable, as well as the Australian gold line is great. Very disappointing. Please save your money and get something else.

I love that it doesn’t streak easily and blends well, easy foaming is a breeze to apply. Can a tad orange but no one ever notices or saying anything, careful not to stain clothes and sheets. Smell is the typical self tanning smell and a lil sticky but can be lessened with a light dust of setting powder or corn starch. Good enough for me to finish the bottle but not sure if I will repurchase, want something a little more purple undertoned.

I wish this worked

Product was nice until it started to streak 15-30 mins after I applied it on my neck and chest. I used a tanner brush to help me apply it btw. Also couldn’t leave it on for more than an hr and washed it off. Some of it stayed. I know you’re supposed to leave it on for a couple hours but I felt really sticky and felt like I couldn’t sit down for a while.

Not Express - Not Tan

This is labeled as an Express Tan so I thought it would be just that. I usually use a different self tanner that takes longer but wasn’t able to use it so I grabbed this thinking it would tan faster before my event. I was wrong. I did like that it’s tinted so I can see where it goes and the scent wasn’t terrible but it was very sticky. Then as soon as I showered 3 hours in, it all washed away. I think I’m more pale than when I started. Do yourself a favor and don’t get this.

I do not understand the negative reviews in this. This is one of the best self tanners I have bought! I put it on with my hands (not mitt) after a shower and leave it on. I do not rinse it off. It gives an instant color and stays for days. It does not have that weird self tanner smell AT ALL. I have not noticed any stickiness like others mentioned. I love this stuff!

Overall not mad and would repurchase for the price

Okay so after reading other reviews, I was pretty skeptical, but here are my final thoughts. To preface I am someone that religiously uses loving tan self tanner and stand by it. For $17 this is a good product. The biggest downfall would be the stickiness almost like humidity sticky after applying in while waiting for it to develop is not ideal. However, I like that it does not have a scent or a heavy odor like other self tanners and once you wash it off, the odor is gone. There is none. Didn’t transfer on the clothes that I slept in while it was developing 100% recommend sleeping overnight and letting the tan develop and not washing it off in the one to four hours span that is directed on the bottle blended very well not patchy blended well around ankles and elbows definitely recommend moisturizing your ankles, elbows, etc. before applying the tanner overall not going to give you a traumatic pale to extremely dark change but for a light natural tan if you are a more fair skin person, this is a good product I would consider a rep purchasing, especially for like daily weekly ongoing tanning use.

So here's the deal

So I also experienced what others are saying in the reviews - where after leaving the tanner on 1-4 hours and rinsing in the shower, it seemed like the entire tan came off and I was just as pale as before. BUT - I did the routine before bed and when I woke up/throughout the next day, it developed into a tan. It was not as dark as the guide color seemed when first applied, but a tan nonetheless and it looks very natural and even. I'm very pleased with the results- it just takes some patience :)
