Q: With regard to using 1 or 2 pods/load, please provide specific info on what constitutes a "large" load in terms of volume, weight, etc. Otherwise, it's both subjective and varies by washer capacities.

A: This is an excellent question. Washing machines have different capacities that may affect load sizes. We recommend you first check the manual for your machine. In the meantime, when a washing machine drum is around half full, you have a medium or regular wash load. For a large load, the machine will be about three quarters of the way full and for an extra large load, fill the drum. But, be careful not to overload your machine, since clothes need to be able to move freely. If you have other questions, or if we can help further, please give us a call at (800) 879-8433.

Q: Has Tide changed the formula for the free & gentle pods? They used to be a milky white color but now they are yellow. I'm afraid the new formula will cause me to break out.

A: There's no set answer as it will vary depending on the conditions outside. We recommend storing our pods in a cool/dry place to ensure this won't happen.

A: [10:09 AM] West, Matthew Carcinogen is not intentionally added ingredient in any of P&G’s products. Because arsenic is in the naturally occurring in the environment, arsenic is found in trace amounts widely across many products such as food and cleaning products. The results shared by CR are very low, safe levels, well below any established safety limits for a cleaning product.

These pods caused a severe allergic reaction in my 4 year old daughter from head to toe. Had to take prednisone and Benadryl for days following her sleeping on sheets washed with these “Free and Gentle” pods. Reading the reviews now, it is clear that we aren’t the only ones, so what does Tide plan to do about it?

My go-to detergent for years. I save my scents for my lotions and perfumes, I don’t need them in my laundry detergent! It’s a good value and lasts quite a while and gets my clothes, nice and clean without damaging or fading the fabric.

I used to love this product. Lately the pods are not dissolving and there is always at least one item of clothing with the undissolved goo stuck to it. End up wasting water and electricity on additional rinses. Very frustrating.
